HASH(0x9d0a2bc4) out of 5 stars Cute and Easy Grip Dec 18 2009

Nifty little set. My 5 year old loves them, small enough for him to play and help, and practical enough for mom to borrow. I'm sure they weren't meant fully as a kid set, but they are perfect for your little handyman or handygirl.

I picked this set up for my nephew who is well on his way to becoming a carpenter before he turns 11! This is the perfect size for his little hands and allows him great range for the projects he loves to do at home.

They look like toys but are very strudy and durable. These feel like they will last a long time!

The really great thing here is that these have a lifetime warranty! So save the packaging just in case!

I bought these for my boys (ages 3-5) to use (supervised of course!) and they are well loved. I like the "chunkiness" of the handgrips for their smaller hands and the short length of the tools makes them easier to maneuver. I love that they are getting to use real tools like Daddy. :)

HASH(0x9d22339c) out of 5 stars Real tools Feb. 11 2016

These are real tools, but short. This means that they're good for small hands as well as for big hands that need to reach into tight places. The Philips screwdriver is a #2 (the bigger of the two common sizes). An eight-ounce hammer doesn't have much force behind it (although it's plenty enough to hurt if you drop it on your toes), but it'll fit in places that my regular one can't reach. If you want to entertain very young future construction workers, then duct-tape some bubble wrap to a scrap board, and let them pop the bubbles with the hammer.

My only complaint is that they come in "customer-proof packaging". You need a pair of sturdy scissors or tin snips to get the tools out of the clamshell. I wish that they used Amazon's Frustration Free system instead.
