HOWEVER. This is NOT a book for beginners at all. Very valid issues on misprints & poorly written instruction have been raised by other reviewers. I've sewn for years so I can get around these but I'm very disappointed in Lark Books for having done such a poor editing job: it is LARK'S responsibility to make sure instructions are correct & easily readable! It is a shame that the author(s) end up being blamed for the editor/publisher's mistakes.
(edited as my original 4-stars is clearly too generous)
Moreover, on some pages they've done stupidly frustrating things, like on one page three pieces are enlarged to 398%, 402%, and 396% SERIOUSLY?!! If they are on the same page and belong to the same pattern, they should all be the same. And something round like 400%.
This book has a lot of beautiful aprons, but thanks to the publishers attempts to cut corners, it's worthless.
But I just noticed Nathalie has another book/pamphlet (64 pages = pamphlet?) called Simply Aprons. Since the images on the front are the same as pictures in the book, I have to wonder if it's the answer to the terrible templates and instructions? Then again, though it does say "all templates are included," I wonder if they are the correct size.
