I love the frosted look and feel that these sleeves give to the back of the cards. Keep in mind though that the frosted back will blur the print on the side it is covering, so they do not work well with double sided cards. Simply buy the clear non-matte sleeves for double sided cards.
Once sleeved, the cards shuffle beautifully and when stacked do not slide over. This is a problem I have with the non-matte dragon shields, the material tends to stick together causing shuffling to be annoying.
If you're sleeving a game with a lot of cards, I have seen these go on sale for as low as $5 CAD, so it may be worth the wait for the savings!
They're expensive, even on sale, but they're really excellent sleeves. The cards go into them easily but I haven't had any issues with the cards working their way back out of them unintentionally at all. The sleeves are very slightly over sized for standard cards internally, and I feel like they could have cut down on the margins a bit externally too. Shuffling with these sleeves is a breeze as now I feel like I can comfortable mash shuffle the decks and I've never liked to, or been very good at, riffle shuffling, especially with the typical cardboard cards you get in games.
I'll definitely buy more in the future.
