Rohn teaches that you don't have to do exceptional things. Just do ordinary things exceptionally well.
Rohn say's "miss a meal, but don't miss a book."
"The book you miss won't help."
"Motivation alone isn't enough. Take an idiot and motivate him and you have a motivated idiot."
The Art of Exceptional Living is the can't miss guide that shows you how to mold your future by following the fundamentals of success and by using intelligent planning.
This abridged version gives a good sampling of the great philosophy and wisdom inside of this man. Rohn has made a major and lasting impact on many successful people. Most notably Tom Hopkins and Anthony Robbins.
He can help you too. If this is your first Jim Rohn program, it won't be your last. He is great.
I was expecting ground breaking ideas and great insights. However much of what I received seemed to be a repeat of what I had already heard.
It is true that Jim Rohn is a good public speaker and depending on what you have read or learned previously this may or may not be a good supplement to your CD library.
If you are familiar with success/self help/business literature than there is nothing new here. His CD acts as more of a good reinforcement on topics you should already be familiar with.
Despite that, it is still worth listening to once, or perhaps as a gift to someone you know who could use his timely wisdom.
Overall pretty good...
I really like the speech of Jim, it keeps your attention focused on the tapes, preventing drifting off. I highly recommend this tape series over any I have listened to (and I have listened to many).
