The core of "Ask" is to use surveys to understand your prospects better.

If that sounds stupidly simple? It kind of is.

But if that's all you get out of this book, then you're totally missing the point.

As a marketing consultant myself, I've seen the online marketplace drastically change recently to become focused on behavioral and interest-based targeting. That means if we want to become more competitive, we need to show different content and products to different people, based on who they are and what they want to see.

Where "Ask" excels is in showing you the detailed steps in how to ask the right questions that lead to actionable data, which leads to profitable results based on targeted interests.

The author does this through a specific surveying process that he outlines in depth in this book.

Of course, surveys aren't new. But I've found that most people do surveys utterly wrong. So much so that surveys have gotten a bad wrap.

The only drawback I found when reading this book is that some of the detailed steps and images the author outlines would be easier to follow as a video. Although the additional resources and examples he has available for free for readers was very helpful.

I highly recommend you pick up this book. It'll soon become the gold standard for interest-based marketing online.

This is my first review of a book, but I just needed to share how valuable this "counter-intuitive formula" strategy has been on changing my mindset in my business.

This book was highly recommended by some pretty advanced marketers and successful business entrepreneurs so I picked up a copy, but truthfully I thought that there was no way it would live up to the claims it promised on the front cover, "discover exactly what your customers want to buy…create a mass of raving fans… and take any business to the next level". Well, it really delivers the goods my friend!

If you are struggling to figure out what your customers are thinking, this book will show you a proven strategy to read your customer's minds and create EXACTLY what they are looking for. It really doesn't get any better than that.

I am taking the essential concepts and strategies as outlined in the book and integrating it into every aspect of my relationship with my clients - from initial contact, to my website design, to my email follow-up sequence.

Is there work involved? Of course. If you are looking for a get rich quick scheme or an easy button then this is not the book for you. This book is for the entrepreneur who wants to work smarter and is willing to roll up their sleeves and put in the time and effort to take their business to the next level. Enjoy!

Like I mentioned in a comment on the NLM Mastermind Facebook Group, I purchased the book on Monday, finished reading it on Tuesday and joined the Facebook group on Wednesday. Once I got into it, I couldn't put it down.

If you are in a business that needs leads, you know that the most effective leads are those that are coming to you, with cash in hand ready to buy. But how do you get that laser focus that allows you to identify those prime leads?

Simple. Buy this book.

Ryan has created a funnel system through a series of surveys, that is simple, effective, and so unobtrusive that customers will identify themselves to you without any objection. And it can work for any industry or niche.

In a word, brilliant!

Now I said it is simple in it's concept, but as Ryan says in the book, "The devil is in the details." However, even if there is some work to getting it up and running, once you do one, you will do a hundred surveys.

I read through it the first time, fairly quickly because I understood what he was explaining and my excitement was almost uncontrollable. I knew that I could do this and it would work, because I know I've filled out numerous surveys in my time with barely giving it a thought.

I think this is could easily be the most important tool in your marketing arsenal...period. You need leads, but more importantly you need the right leads and Ryan teaches you exactly how to find them.

Again. Brilliant.

My name is Brandon and I don't usually write reviews on Amazon. In fact, this is the first review I've ever written. Seriously! I'm a marketer and have been selling online since 2009.....although I'd prefer to say "struggling" since 2009, until now.

I came across Ryan and his work through a course he was offering a while ago. The course was built upon the principals of the ask formula and once I went through the course + book my business changed forever.

When I first saw the book I thought it was going to be just like any other business book that I bought in the past (a bunch of big ideas with no real formula or strategy to implement). I thought I was going to read it, get excited, get a bunch of ideas, and then be left with no idea how to implement the actual strategies.

Well...I was wrong.

I worked my butt off and completely rebuilt my business from the ground up using Ryan's formula. To be clear, I mean I really did work....and it was hard work at times....but boy did it pay off.

Before rebuilding my business the best I could do was get an ROI (rate of return) of 70% on any money I spent on advertising. That's right, my previous best system was loosing me 30% on each dollar I spent on ads. Certainly not sustainable...and certainly not a business.

After implementing Ryan's formula my worst month now has been 150% ROI....and in some months we've even done 250%. And I can honestly say that it's due to the marketing system, which is the ask formula.

The only downside of the formula is the traffic generation part. If you have an online business one of the most important pieces is how to generate traffic. Ryan does not discuss traffic strategies in the book which is positive and a negative.
