Stream-of-consciousness in the worst way
April 12, 2019
This book is written as one long stream-of-consciousness journal with entries broken up by topic or question. Using only hypothetical questions posed by the author as a kind of lose structural device, the book meanders aimlessly in a way that is painful to read. The author seems to revel in performative self-referencing as a way of inflating their own ego and yet lacks the self-awareness to be able to make the structure or style smooth and flowing enough to be the least bit enjoyable for any reader, Aspie or not.
