About the Author

Pour naître, Hector Hugo a profité d'une éclaircie entre la fin de la Seconde Guerre mondiale et le début de la guerre d'Indochine. Il a passé sa jeunesse face à la mer, sur les falaises du pays de Caux. Dès cinq ans, il a montré son tempérament d'explorateur en entreprenant le périple tumultueux qui mène de l'école primaire au baccalauréat : douze ans d'aventures. Après quelques années plus calmes à l'université, le démon des choses difficiles l'a repris et il est devenu enseignant... Aujourd'hui, il écrit sur la paix et la guerre. Il aime le mois de mai, la mer, la chanson, Esméralda, les drapeaux rouges, noirs, et de toutes les couleurs vivantes derrière lesquelles il a beaucoup marché (il continue), rire, pleurer, lire, aimer. Bref : il est animé des même passions que toi, hypocrite lecteur...
