Great soap. Disgusted that Amazon raised the price by 2 dollars for Black Friday.
I was really impressed to find this soap for such a great deal. I ordered 5 bars. I wanted to wait to order more until after they arrived to make sure these were not a knock off. I've been using aveeno bar soap on and off for years. Bought some from shoppers drug mart, in the old packaging and loved it. Saw it on Amazon for a good price so picked up more to bring on a weekend trip. The box looked different and the formula is different. The original bar has minimal lather, this one lathers like regular soap. It's also drying and not great for eczema. Won't be repurchasing the new formula.

I bought this soap bar as a replacement for plastic-bottled shower gel. As a soap bar, it's perfectly fine and works to combat my eczema. In that respect, it is a good substitute. However, I'm really disappointed to see that although it is packaged up in a cardboard box, the actual soap is then wrapped in plastic! I won't be buying this again. Come on, Aveeno, you're in the advantageous position of being able to ride on the crest of the plastic-free wave! Ditch the packaging.

At first i was pleased with this as the aveeno dry skin body wash had worked well for my eczema afflicted self. After a while I'm getting issues with dry and irritated skin between my fingers due to eczema. This has not worked as well as Lush's Honey I Washed the Kids or the Oilatum dry skin soap bar (available on amazon).

It's probably better than most basic soaps for dry skin/eczema sufferers but you could do a lot better with the others I've mentioned.

One thing I've noticed is that the soap bar actually feels really rough and coarse in the hands, which seems a bit suspect with it supposedly being for sensitive/dry skin. Maybe i got sent an exfoliating one by mistake?

It's a got a good neutral non perfumed kind of scent if you don't want to smell a bit girly, it beats the gross rose granny scent of the oilatum one in that regard.

It lathers up really well and is this far lasting quite well.

The usual soap I buy for my hands that have eczema has just disappeared and unable to buy anymore -goats milk oats soap from the soapy skin store. So I had to do a fast search and buy to find a replacement as soon as possible! This was one of the soaps I bought. I had had such a good response to the Aveeno hand cream for my eczema I really hoped this would work too, just a shame it didn’t. Luckily I have found one that does work for me and it’s proving to be even better than the first soap! So for anyone who’s eczema is as annoying as mine and didn’t work with this one, maybe try All Naturals 100% Natural Organic Eczema Olive Oil & Calendula Soap.

I have only recently started to use this product which I bought because the tips of my fingers are very dry and start to crack and bleed, I am still working on my fingers by using Aveeno hand lotion every time I wash my hands and use gloves at night. I use the soap to wash my face which leaves my skin on my hands and face very soft. I also use Aveeno baby wash when I shower, all my skin, apart from my finger ends, is very soft and silky using these products. My fingers will take much longer to recover but I will persevere with Aveeno soap and hand cream.
