Product Description

2011 release, the fourth album from the New York-based Metal heads. The Bronx Casket Co. was originally formed in 1998 by Overkill co-founder and bassist DD Verni. The first album simply titled The Bronx Casket Co. was released in 1999. This debut got good reviews by both, journalists and listeners, and THE BCC could establish a fan base which has grown more and more with the release of their second album Sweet Home Transylvania. All of this happened without THE BCC playing one single gig. SAOL.

I loved the band's first 3 goth-edged metal disks. Now we have what is really just some straight-up metal, they lost their vocalist, lost the goth bits, lost my interest..... I will not be buying the next one.

2.0 out of 5 stars Bad. Feb. 2 2011
By Eric C. - Published on
Format: Audio CD
I have their other three albums, which are great. This one sounds like a completely different band. It sounds way too polished, like radio pop-metal. In fact, I thought I was listening to Godsmack. It doesn't have that gritty feel like the other albums did. The singer sounds just like the guy in Godsmack.

5.0 out of 5 stars Bronx Casket Company's new CD is amazing ! Jan. 26 2011

I have the bands 3 prior cd's. They started out with Mike Hideous singing and DD Verni from Overkill( who's band it is) on harmonies and backup vocals. DD is now singing the leads and it sounds better than ever!!! The band also consistes of Jack frost from Seven Witches and Savatage on Lead guitar, Michael Romeo (from Prog-rockers Symphony X) provides all the shredding solos for the record, Charlie Calv on Keyboards and Rob Pallotta on drums!! It's gothy, industrial, metal, name it ...Just Amazing!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Band! Feb. 13 2013

I am not sure why this band is not better known. I think they have everything in place to be one of the better bands on any rock radio station, yet, I have not heard them around here. I really like most of the songs on this CD, but I really like the song "Sally". This band at times reminds me of Rob Zombie and the music will remind you of some of Zombies work, no so much the vocals. I think its worth the money if you want to try this CD out, its their latest work. Go on You tube and search for their tribute to Sherry Moon Zombie, the song really is very good. Its not on this CD, to would have made just a touch better.

If you have heard the 3 previous albums by Bronx casket Co. then you know what you are getting here, however they deliver so much more on this album than any other they have done. Get it, love it, enjoy it always.
5.0 out of 5 stars Almost as good as Sweet Home Transylvania!!!!! March 6 2011

DD Verni has managed to put together another great one!!

I was a little leary of the fact that DD was going to be doing all the vocal chores on this one. I really felt like Spy was one of the hooks for me. Well I am very pleased to say that while listening to this for the first time I didn't miss him one bit. DD has stepped in and is nailing everything!

All the songs are catchy. Mike Romeo from Symphony X is laying down almost all of the solos so you know they are smokin. There is a new drummer, which for me as drummer is a noticable change. The previous drummer, although a double bass machine in Overkill, never used the double bass in BCC. The new drummer uses it throughout. It really doesn't matter to me either way because the entire disc is full of great mid tempo rockers and some uncharacteristically fast ones. There is also a couple of off the wall cover tunes that are pulled off extremely well.

I hope this disc get BCC the credit they deserve. I saw them at JAXX in Springfield, VA at what I think still is their only live show (I'm not 100% sure) and there was 15 or 20 people there. That was very dissappointing to me and it was obvious that DD was also dissappointed. I'm hoping for a time when I can see these guys at a packed house.
