As with other reviews the shaft fell off the spinner after its first use. Also the could make it a little more ergonomic by putting the on/off button in an easier place instead of under the motor.Hard to turn on and off if you have problems with your hands

I thought this product was amazing…..but it died after two weeks.

Although this paint mixer is made by BADGER, as well as its branded with its name, within a week of normal use the 6-star spinner head slid down the shaft, = the splines on the shaft where the spinner is splined to was worn, I slid the spinner back into place and hoped for the best, but shortly after using once again mixing my acrylic paint, low and behold upon removing the mixer from the bottle the spinner was no longer attached to the shaft but was now at the bottom of the bottle, I had to fix/repair this mixer by SUPER GLUING the Spinner Head To The Worn Splined Shaft - One would think that a well-known airbrush company would make a hobby paint mixer live up to what one would expect..thumbs down on the quality of the "Badger Air-Brush Co. 121 Paint Mixer" !!..so needless to say BUYER BEWARE!

The mixer works well. However, I wished it would fit in Vallejo style paint droppers.

Awesome little pot mixer. I use it for my Citadel paints. I never need to shake the pots anymore and now I never get clogged lids that cause the paint to dry up. A must for any miniature painter.

The best small mixer available!
Reviewed in the United States on August 30, 2018Colour Name: WhiteVerified Purchase
I love this mixer! I use it for mixing two part epoxy resin (use hand sanitizer or rubbing alcohol to clean immediately after using) and acrylic paint and pouring medium/Floetrol for poured paintings. It’s very powerful and the battery lasts a long time. Just make sure you turn the mixer on AFTER it’s fully submerged in your cup of resin or paint, and turn it off BEFORE you pull it out of the cup- so it doesn’t fling crap everywhere, and also so you get less bubbles introduced. Then wipe the mixer clean before anything dries on it. You can also submerge it in a cup of water and turn it on to remove acrylic paint.

Useful but too cheaply made
Reviewed in the United States on October 24, 2019Colour Name: WhiteVerified Purchase
I bought it primarily for mixing acrylic paints. Out of the box it seemed okay, but the problem was the mixing rod fit very, very loose on the motor shaft... It worked, but was so loose if I pointed it downward the mixing rod slid right off. While it was running, I could grab the mixing rod and hold it still while the motor spun on merrily, without slowing at all.
The mixing rod is held on by a pinch joint, which I tapped together to make it tighter. Now it holds on but I don't know how long it will be before it loosens up again.
Useful? Yes... but I'm disappointed that Badger put its name on such a cheaply made product. Is it worth twelve bucks? I guess that depends on how much twelve bucks is worth to you.

Nifty little paint stirrer
Reviewed in the United States on July 31, 2020Colour Name: WhiteVerified Purchase
I ordered a Badger Air-Brush Co. 121 Paint Mixer on a whim. I have mixed small bottles of paint by hand for 60 years. It was always a bit messy and I wasn't really sure I had all the pigment uniformly mixed in. I have had this mixer for a couple of weeks now and I really like it. It quickly mixes the paint thoroughly. I use mostly Tamiya paints in 10 and 23cc bottles and it works excellently in both. Battery-power makes it easy to handle. The on/off switch is well-placed so I can hold and operate the stirrer in one hand and the paint bottle in the other.
As advised in the instructions, do not turn it on until it is well into the paint bottle. Likewise, do not pull it out of the bottle until it has stopped spinning. Otherwise it would throw paint over a fairly large area. Clean-up is fairly simple. I use mostly acrylics, so I stick it in a large bottle of water and turn it on for few seconds, then wipe off anything still on it with a tissue.
My only complaint is the length of the stirrer. I would be happier with one about 2" to 3" long, or maybe offer the short stirrer as an add-on.
I recommend this stirrer for anyone who paints very often.

It's the BOMB!!!
Reviewed in the United States on October 16, 2020Colour Name: WhiteVerified Purchase
I'm not a painter so I can't give a review of this for paints. BUT (there is always a but) I sell Chalk Couture. It is a chalk paste product that sometimes needs to be re hydrated in order to use it. If I have neglected my chalk paste it can get hard and then once you add water chunky. (it is supposed to be the consistency of Greek yogurt. I bought this little gem and used it on some really clumpy chalk paste just to see how good it is. I am happy to say after only about 5 minutes my super chunky chalk paste was smooth like it was brand new! So it works great!!!

Durability
Reviewed in the United States on January 22, 2019Colour Name: WhiteVerified Purchase
This little mixer-stirer is the second one I've purchased. The first one lasted for about 4+ yrs, and would have likely continued to function except that I spilled some Acetone onto the switch and ruined it. My BAD!!!! Anyway I was pleased to see the mfgr. has increased the length of the current mixer shank to about 5 inches; almost doubling the length! I'm very happy with this smooth-running tool, which I use to mix paints without introducing much air into the mixture! Easy to clean the stainless steel shank and mixer-impeller. Wonderful tool for the workbench!
