Product Description

After ten years of surviving as a walking, talking, living doll, Laura feels dead inside.

She has sacrificed everything for her family, marrying a man she could never love. Her husband doesn’t beat her, doesn’t berate her. He transforms her, forcing her to live as a stand-in for his long dead wife. She stays silent as piece after piece of herself disappears, willing to do anything to protect the people she loves.

When his demands go too far, she finally tells her brother the ugly truth.

Wanting to protect her without putting the rest of their family at risk, he sends her to the one place he knows she’ll be safe. He places her into the hands of his best friend, Vice President of the Savage Outlaws MC.

Once again, she is transformed into someone new; Shay.

Bowie has spent many nights dreaming about his best friend’s little sister. The reality is so much sweeter than his dreams. He wants to be more for Shay, needs to protect her, but he’s not sure if he knows how.

Can an Outlaw show her how beautiful life should be?

What a great read! This is my second book of Emily Minton's, I read Window's a little while back and loved that one too. This book had me hooked from the very first page and there wasn't a dull moment! This story had it all; Emotion, suspense, danger and steam! Not to mention a super sexy bad ass biker in Bowie. I can't wait for Tin' book and look forward to reading much more from Emily!!!

This is the first book I've read by this author. I can't say it's great and one I'll reread in the future but it was good. It had an interesting storyline that kept the pages turning but I can't give it 5 stars because I just didn't like the way Bowie treated Shay a lot of the time. For example: Bowie getting extremely pissed at her every time she got scared (scared for good reason) because she should just blindly trust that he'll protect her and never have any fear because he's insulted when she's scared.......ummm, ookay??? And wouldn't you it, she gets taken and hurt while he's protecting her. He was also really mean with both actions and words at times. In this MC there wasn't a lot of love and respect that the other members showed for their old ladies and family. Put it this way this isn't a biker club and romance that left you feeling warm and fuzzy. I realize this is about bikers and they typically aren't warm and fuzzy but this is fiction and in most MC books I've read and really liked, the hero does treat his heroine like she's his whole world and it does leave the reader feeling warm and fuzzy! Bottom line if your in a slump waiting for your fave authors to come out with another book, this is a good read that's worth reading to get you through. This is just my opinion and you may love it and not be bothered by Bowie.

The story in itself is not a bad one, that's why I give it 3 stars. But I had a hard time believing in the love story (lack of chemistry, no build up) and I couldn't find it in me to "crush" on Bowie, or relate to Shay/Laura. Plus I found Bowie disrespectful towards Shay, which was really annoying...

5.0 out of 5 stars This book has it all, heartache, love, danger and mystery April 12 2015

Overall Rating: 4.5 Rockin’ '''''

From the beginning, something was very wrong with the man that demanded I become his wife! I had no choice but to accept his proposal, my family’s lives were holding me hostage. So at the age of eighteen, I became a walking, talking doll remade in my husband’s dead wife’s image. But his last demand is too much, I cannot do it! Death would be better than this! –Laura’s POV

In this the first book in the Savage Outlaws MC series, author Emily Minton creates characters and a story that is truly remarkable. In Beautiful Outlaw we are introduced to Bowie, the Vice President of the MC and Shay, the broken woman that he saves. This is a MC Romance but it is so much more than that!

The first time I saw her picture, I dreamed of her being mine! Her brother, LOCK and I were friends and watched each other’s back while in the military, fighting for our country. When we returned stateside and left the service, I returned to my MC family and he became a cop but we still had each other’s back. So when he asked me to help protect his sister from her psychotic husband, I didn’t hesitate. I wanted her with me, in my bed, the woman of my dreams. –Bowie’s POV

Things are never the way we think they will be! Bowie does not recognize the woman Laura has become. He drops her off and leaves her with the only mother he has ever known, feeling like he has done his part but for some reason cannot stop thinking about her. Slowly Laura becomes Shay the new identity her brother created for her. But evil is not so easily defeated and the life she left behind refuses to stay in the past. Bowie also has forces moving against him that he will have to take care of to not only protect Shay but his MC family as well.

Cliffhanger: No

Would I recommend this book: Yes! This book has it all, heartache, love, danger and mystery. It also includes strong alpha males that protect those they love. If your into sizzling sex between two dominate characters, then you want be disappointed with this novel.

Would I recommend this author: Yes! I stand in awe of the amazingly gifted writer, Emily Minton. Her books are remarkable trips into worlds that she creates for her reader’s enjoyment. Each character is so well developed that they seem to be more that words on a page, they become friends. I cannot wait to read her next offering!

5.0 out of 5 stars An epic family drama with some psychotic crazies and bossy bikers in the mix April 9 2015

The first two books in The Renegade Sons MC got glowing 5 star reviews from me...so I was mega-excited when Beautiful Outlaw went on sale and had to grab it!
I loved every minute of this thrill ride and a half...it had a very different plot than most MC books with the crazy, psychotic husband of heroine Laura/Shay trying to make her into his own private Barbie doll of perfection.
Getting away from the monster who forced her into marriage, she lands right in the hands of Bowie...a bossy, sexy biker who served in the military with her brother Jeremy, and who promises to hide and protect her.
They face one thing after another, from an angry and dangerous club whore, to Bowie's own corrupt father to the threat of death and revenge from Laura/Shay's soon to be EX husband, all while Bowie and his faithful brothers try to figure out how to save their club from being ruined and avoiding their own deaths due to their President's lies.
As with Minton's other series, the sex is hot, the romance is strong, the violence isn't pretty and the family drama is epic. I loved how she incorporates Chelsea Camaron's Hellions in the story as the cross promoting is fun for us readers who know those characters as well...and it also might convince some to check out those books if they haven't already!
I also liked the double epilogues at the end...we get a glimpse into the near future of Shay and Bowie and then another one takes us 5 years ahead with some shocking surprises about some characters I came to love so much but am not so sure about anymore after reading that final ending! I hope this leads to more books about the Savage Outlaws MC in the future.

5.0 out of 5 stars Bowie, the beautiful badass outlaw Nov. 20 2014

Beautiful Outlaw (Savage Outlaw MC #1)
By: Emily Minton
5/5 stars

I loved this author’s previous biker series that she co-authored with Dawn Martens, The Renegade Sons MC series, and so when I heard that she was writing a solo biker series, I knew that I would be reading it. And I absolutely LOVED IT!

Laura had been living a lie for over 10 years. She married a much older man in order to save her mother’s life. But instead of being herself, she has been forced to change and to become a stand-in for her husband’s dead wife. She acquiesces until the demands become too much and she knows that she has to get out in such a way that won’t put her mother’s life in danger. So she turns to her brother Jeremy (aka “Lock”) for help, he then turns to a man that he knows he could trust his life to and would keep Laura safe.

Bowie was raised in the club, and had a horrible father, but there were a few good people in his life to set a good example, his grandfather Tobias and his mamá Nina. But when he was old enough, he enlisted in the Army and served several tours in Iraq & Afghanistan. He served with Laura’s brother and Shooter (from Chelsea Camaron’s “Merciless Ride”). So when Lock calls him and needs help getting his sister to safety, Bowie accepts.

Bowie has to tend to a lot of club business & Laura spends a lot of that time healing and moving on from her marriage which is so good for her soul. Months go by and when they see each other again, they definitely take notice of each other and there is attraction. But Bowie will have to take his time and convince Laura that it would be a good idea to take a risk on him. Laura has spent enough time in her life being controlled by a man, and she won’t put up with it again, and she recognizes those controlling tendencies in Bowie. But Bowie doesn’t want her as a replacement for some other woman and isn’t trying to mold her into a different person. He just wants her. So it will take them some time to hash things out and establish a relationship.

There is club drama and personal drama and sometimes that drama also intertwines with each other. We do see Shooter from Merciless Ride in this book (there are scenes from Bowie’s POV that were also in Merciless Ride) and there are several supporting characters in this book that I loved too. Especially Tin Man, Bowie’s brother, Lock, Laura’s brother, Tag and several others. I liked the epilogue and loved the bonus epilogue. I’m looking forward to the next books in this series! Even though Tin Man’s story is next, the very ending was cliffhanger style & may not be resolved in the next book.

Laura has been in mentally abusive relationship for 10 years all because she thought marrying her husband was what was best for her family. When she can't take it anymore she seeks the help of her brother. Her brother sends her to his Army Buddy Bowie who is an MC VP - she becomes Shay. Now she goes from one controlling man to one extremely alpha man. This story has everything an MC story should have. It's gritty, it doesn't sugar coat anything and it makes you hope for a happy ending for Laura/Shay.
