What an awesome book, just got it and flipped though it (I have gone throwing about five others in my studies thus far) and I can say with certainty that this is the finest beekeeper's book I have come across.

The photos will wow and educate you, it gives history to current practices, and the end of the book even has great recipes that use honey.

Highly recommend this book!

I own a lot of books on bees and beekeeping but this one is a WOW! Worth every penny and I paid full price at an Indigo store. They only had one copy and I hung onto it so tight until I got to the cash register, like it was the only copy left in the world :)

Buy it. You should not be disappointed. Full of facts & how to. The pictures are GREAT for those who have not been up close to a hive yet. Lots of little historical notes on myths, gods & goddesses, ancient beliefs, etc. but with a full knowledge of today's beekeeping that you need to know. Great layout & colour.

This would be a great gift for a beekeeper, insect lover or especially a student. You'll knock their socks off!

HASH(0x9c6205d0) out of 5 stars Great "Coffee Table" Book Dec 17 2012

This is a great Coffee Table book. I wouldn't use it as a day to day reference - it's too nice, but the graphics are excellent and the content is superb. Keep it out on display for others to become enthralled with beekeeping!
