An ideal accessory for chefs who use their tablet device while cooking, this mount holds your iPad 2 securely in place with a frame that mounts to the fridge using commercial-grade 3M Command Strips. The Command Strips attach to your fridge or wall without tools, which also makes them easy to remove if needed. Once the mount is attached, a magnetic strip locks the iPad securely in place.

The mount features an inner magnetic strip that secures directly to the iPad 2's magnetic edge so your tablet is always held safely and securely in place. Once you're finished in the kitchen, you can simply slide the iPad out of the dock--there's no need to hassle with connectors or latches.

Simply stick the mount onto a vertical surface, and setup is complete. In addition, 3M Command Strips leave behind no damage or sticky residue when they are peeled off, so you can freely reposition the mount whenever you want.

I mounted it with screws on the inside of a kitchen cabinet so it is not visible unless I want to use it. It works great. Very easy to put in and take out the iPad and stable when it is in. Sure beats trying to find a clean place to stand it up on the cover triangle. I will never upgrade unless there is one of these for the new iPad model.
If you want to mount it on an inside cabinet there has to be enough clearance between the shelves and the cabinet door. Fortunately my shelves are inset about 1/2 inch. Check this before drilling holes. Also check the length of the screws. I had to hunt for screws that would not go clear through the cabinet door.
Keep in mind that if you have one of the iPad magic click covers, or any other cover for that matter, it must be removed before the iPad will fit into the mount. Also, the mount is designed to have the iPad horizontally placed. There are strong magnets on the mount that help keep the iPad securely held against it. The ridges along the bottom of the mount prevent the iPad from dropping.
After it is installed, I thought, this appears to be a very high tech appliance in the kitchen. Not only can you play the streaming radio and music, but also display photos in slideshow mode. Not to mention, recipes in the iPad are conveniently available and in view.
This would be a perfect gift for an iPad owner.
(1) The mount has a magnet that connects to the magnetic back of the iPad - *only* in that orientation. The fridge mount is even labeled to show you the specific orientation that you have to use.
(2) The bottom of the fridge mount acts as a shelf, and if you rotate the mount into any other orientation, it won't actually hold the iPad.
This restriction isn't mentioned anywhere in the literature. The weird thing is that it does not even match *the picture on the front of the box*, which shows the iPad mounted in portrait mode.
It gets worse. When the iPad 3 is mounted in this position (portrait mode with the Home button on the left), the hard volume buttons and the lock switch are on the bottom edge, over to the right - and *they're blocked by the frame*.
