Top Customer Reviews
If you think he too often became self-indulgent, into middle-age/new-age/multicultural "middle of the road" pop (i.e., he had no band of equals to challenge/stretch him) you may want to rethink Sting as an "institution"; yeah he is that, but because he is attractive, hip, politically correct, and safe -- all poor reasons to listen to him for true music lovers... But for those who live safe, middle-aged, middle of the road, pop, go for it.
I prefer the Police -- even if they were young and simple... Their last two discs are better than anything Sting has ever done, but also look to other artists who have "aged" without self-indulgence and MOR leanings...
This CD set had most of my favourite tunes.
BTW...this was a terrific concert! It was one of the best I've been to in a while.
Both artists were in great form...musically undiminished.

I was glad it was so many of his not so big hits... the ones I liked so many years ago. Well done!Published on Nov. 17 2013 by Michelle Thompson
