My Best Friend's Bride
A confirmed bachelor gets asked to marry his best friend's girl.

From New York Times Bestselling Author GINNY BAIRD, a new laugh-out-loud romantic comedy...

My Best Friend's Bride

Relationship expert Jillian Jamison is in a bind. While her first book was a successful bestseller, her second tome tanked. Now, her publisher wants a spin on the third book, Married Love: Keeping Those Home Fires Burning, that's up close and personal. With financial pressures mounting and sole responsibility for her aging grandfather, Jill feels forced into wedlock in order to appease her publisher and keep her job. But it's only for a year, and she's devised a plan with her long-term friend. When Brad backs out due to problems with his real girlfriend Susan, Jill fears she'll be left standing alone at the altar. Then Brad offers a solution: Jill can marry the one man on earth she despises...his handsome best friend.

Hunter Delaney is a confirmed bachelor and that's how he likes it. When his best friend, Brad, approaches him with an unusual contract, he's determined to run for the hills, especially since the name on the paperwork is international celebrity Jillian Jamison, the woman who spurned him in high school. Hunter would rather do anything than spend twelve months of his life saddled with her. But he has a soft spot for Brad, who's in a predicament, so Hunter agrees to consider Brad's proposal. When Hunter learns he's getting passed over for a promotion because the family-oriented client only wants to work with someone who's married, this clinches the deal.

Hunter is "in" for as long as he can stand it. Jill is not thrilled with the arrangement either. But really, what choice does she have? Even if it has to look authentic on the outside, between her and Hunter it's just pretend. Besides, she reasons rationally, she's already got the dress...

*A well-written romantic/comedy by author Ginny Baird.......After having a huge success with her very first book"Love Like You Mean It" love expert and bestselling author, Jillian "Jill" Jamison's career is about to take a dive swan to say the least. After her second book turned out to be a flop, she is faced with the reality of unpaid bills not to mention, her loving grandfather's rest home fees as well. Trying to come up with a idea to enhance sales on her third book coming out entitled "Married Love: Keeping Those Home Fires Burning", her agent suggests that it was time she got married in the public eye forcing a brainstorm to surface with a perfect plan that cannot miss. She will have a fake marriage for one year, then a quick divorce and she knew exactly who to ask, her best friend Brad Tate. At first Brad is all for it but when his girfriend Susan changes her mind at the last minute, he hopes he can talk his best friend Hunter Delaney to do it or Jill could lose everything. Hunter Delaney was drop dead gorgeous with a wicked reputation with the ladies, had a great job and a single life that he wasn't about to give up for anyone. So when his best friend Brad tells him he needs his help by him marrying Jillian Jamison, the girl that broke his heart in High School, he declines in a heartbeat. The one thing Hunter wasn't expecting was to be called into the boss's office telling him he has just been passed over for a huge promotion and for one reason and one reason only....he's not married! When Hunter announces he is about to marry best-selling author Jillian Jamison, he is given the promotion with a deep hidden agenda to convince Jill of the blessed news since she has always hated him since their High School days and this was one job that wasn't going to be easy. When Jill finds out what Brad has done, she is furious but when she sees Hunter slowly approach her looking so great he not only pulls her into his arms by kissing her so passionately, he also takes her breath away leaving her at a loss for words. With their motives out in the open because they both need it for their careers, they have no idea they are being stalked by two nosey journalists, one to prove Jill isn't what she says she is and the other one hired by someone in Hunter's Ad Agency trying to dis prove his marriage is a scam. As Jill and Hunter try to live a phony marriage in the most platonic way, their barriers start to slowly come down causing Jill and Hunter to rethink their previous lives while appreciating the other in the most positive ways. As love starts to blossom without telling the other, their careers start to crumble when their secret is revealed by the worst journalists ever and it will get far worse before it ever gets better. With everything on the line, it will take more than a promotion or any new book deal to get them through the dilemma and it will require something much stronger than they ever imagined "love", now if they can only tell each other how they truly feel before it's too late?...thank you♡♡

Ginny Baird brings us a delightful, romantic comedy. When I first saw this book cover I knew the story within was going to be wonderful. Yes, I was swept away by the romance and really didn't want it to end.
Have you ever made a bad decision for the wrong reasons?
Of course when you make a decision you hope for the best, but what do you do when doesn't turn out the way you hoped?

Author Jillian Jamison was at the top of her game with the release of her first book, but the second didn't do so well. Okay let's admit it, it sort of tanked. Jill writes books on maintaining relationships, but as was pointed out by the media, how could she be an expert on relationships when she couldn't keep a boyfriend longer than 6 weeks.
Her agent, Morgan Swift, explains that her publisher is somewhat nervous about her third book and without their full backing the book wouldn't have a chance. Morgan thinks she has come up with a career saving strategy, Jill would get married and her new book title would be "Married Love: Keeping the Home Fires Burning".
Just one little problem, she wasn't in a relationship or even dating as Jill readily pointed out.

Bad Decision #1
Agreeing to get married to help your career.
Hunter Delaney and Jill have a history dating back to high school and it was not good. Needless to say neither Hunter or Jill are the least bit approving of this marriage, but both feel their backed into a corner. If this marriage is to take place negotiations and contracts had to be dealt with, but that proves easier said than done.

Bad Decision #2
Negotiating and signing contracts on a fake marriage.
Both Hunter and Jill sign a marriage contract, but will they be able to fulfill the contract as it states?
This is a wonderfully written romance. I loved both characters even though at times I wanted to talk some sense into them at times. Their flaws and insecurities made them more real to me. The storyline pulled me in and I kept turning the pages until the end. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves humor in a romance.
5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely Beautiful Story June 17 2015

What an absolutely beautiful story about love found when you've least expected it. Jill had her reasons for needing a fake marriage as did Hunter. Brad was Jill's best friend and was going to go into a year long fake marriage with Jill but then his girlfriend decided she couldn't handle it so he talked his other best friend into doing it instead. At first neither were too excited about the idea but came to an agreement, after all it was only for a year and they weren't going to fall in love or anything....
I have loved every book that I have read of Ginny Baird's including this one. She always has a wonderful way of weaving a story that it is always hard to put her books down.

I enjoy the journey of a Brad and Jill's contract marriage. The sacrifices that went in to make things work were admirable. Too bad there were so many obstacles that came against them.
