Product Description

"If you get your kicks off of stories that focus on the relationship and the sensuality of the two partners involved in the story, then Best Lesbian Romance 2012 can be just the erotic anthology for you!" --Pop My Cherry Reviews "This year's BLE serves up lesbian sex with a side order of raw power, and contains some of the hottest queer literature I've ever had the pleasure to review." --SHE Magazine "This annual anthology remains the gold standard of the genre." --Erotica Revealed "This year we're treated to femmes and sweat-licked leather, butches, guacamole, nipples, and lots of writhing, but you probably guessed that already. Naughty." --Diva Magazine "Warnock does a nice job curating this "Sapphic sampler" of stories that touch on love, lust, and longing, and spans the spectrum of lesbian experience, from genderqueer to butch/femme and everything in between." --The Edge "BLE 2012 contains over twenty of the best lesbian erotica stories you'll find anywhere." --Ily Goyanes, Miami New Times "Your every fantasy will be laid bare as you devour these sure, sensual stories. ... This year's guest judge is the Sugarbutch herself: Sinclair Sexsmith, poet, performer, impresario... Best Lesbian Erotica 2012 is fully loaded, literary and lustful. Curated by Lammy Award-nominated editor Kathleen Warnock, this volume is long on variety and even longer on beautifully developed characters who are as interesting as they are interested in getting girls." --Erotic Readers and Writers Association

HASH(0xa1827138) out of 5 stars Full spectrum of erotic delights April 29 2012
By Amy Butcher - Published on
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
Best Lesbian Erotica 2012 is the real deal. Guest editor Sinclair Sexsmith along with Kathleen Warnock have gathered a wide spectrum of deliciously written stories that span the range from sweetness to guttural, high school to retirement, submission to dominance, and strictly human to vampiric. There is something in this book--probably more than one something--to delight the senses of every reader.

Like bookends, the sweet stories that start and finish this book hold the rest of the stories safe and sound. "Touched" (Amy Butcher) explores critical early erotic choices while "Never Too Old" (DeJay) shows that an old dog can definitely learn new tricks. "Rebel Girl" (Kirsty Logan) is a great feisty story of girl love. "Hush" (Treasure Sapphire) a gender bending delight. "Blood Lust" (Giselle Renarde) makes you ponder the true source of artistic inspiration. "The Last Time" (Dani M) captures that painful intersection of lust and hurt and anger. "My Femme" (Evan Mora) is a delightful Corvette ride. "How He Likes It" (Xan West) takes the reader deeper inside S/M. "Vacation" (Ali Oh) provides inspiration for your next trip home to the family. "On My Honor" (D.L. King) will make girl scout merit badges never look the same. "50's Waitress" (Julia Noel Goldman) is simple and sublime. "Skin Deep" (Anna Watson) filled with tenderness. "When You Call" (Sharon Wachsler) lets us live into erotic complexity through the lens of one character's particular disability. "Neck Magic" (Nancy Irwin) embodies the feeling of submission freely given and received. And don't forget to read the Introduction by Sinclair Sexsmith, it'll remind you why this kind of writing matters deeply.

All in all, the whole delicious sandwich of powerfully written, exquisitely explored stories covers the broad terrain of our erotic delights and is a completely satisfying meal. So grab yourself a bite of this great collection. It'll wake up your body and your imagination and feed your soul!

HASH(0xa1827384) out of 5 stars Proud to Be Between the Covers with These Authors April 29 2012
By Ali Oh - Published on
Format: Paperback
Perhaps I'm a little biased, as my story made it into the book this year, but I really thought the collection was exquisite. Everything was exactly as Sinclair Sexsmith said it would be in their introduction: hot, smart about gender, and always good writing. And not fluff. Stories like these are important--each and every one of these stories are subversive and their own form of activism, and not forgetting, of course, that they're also quite a turn on. A must read, a must buy. I show it off proudly and say "look at what these writers can do." I so cannot believe I get to see my work next to theirs.

And do yourself a favor and try to find a Best Lesbian Erotica reading. It's so much fun to hear. :0)

HASH(0xa18275c4) out of 5 stars Hot Stories Dec 21 2012

Couldn't put this book down when I finally got a chance to read it. I even took it with me to my church bingo but I had to use a book cover just so it wouldn't be 'broadcasted' what I was reading, it was pretty good.
HASH(0xa1827768) out of 5 stars Sexy and Subtle Nov. 25 2014
By David - Published on
Format: Kindle Edition
There are various tales of sex, romance, and intrigue, in this erotic page-turner. I loved all the stories but my favorite one had to be the one about the 1950's waitress. It was very subtle, and because of that very sexy. I've never read a more intense nor sexy anniversary story. This story is just the tip of iceberg though, as all of them offer something a little different, a little raunchier, a little sexier.
