This guy isn't so popular in Japan, because the PRESS didn't put high opinion to him. This low profile,THOMAS LANG,is categorized in AOR section. In my opinion ,this guy has a unique ,sensual voice that can attract BOBBY CALDWELL fans in JAPAN.Therefore, this CD appeals to the fans of stylish, cool AOR listeners in the world.I presented this CD to my lovely wife on CHRISTMAS DAY.We celebrated our passionate love with this CD.

HASH(0xb1e5c4e0) out of 5 stars Sencillamente E S T U P E N D O Sept. 8 2001
By Luis E. Ramirez - Published on
Format: Audio CD

...that has gone unnoticed for so long - Thomas Lang is an unique singer-songwriter whose released fine albums in the 90's - now deleted or out of stock or available in very limited quantity online. To clarify the word 'unique' - his style too clever for adult contemporary and too polished for indie. His lyrics capture the drama of our real, daily life, one's darker thoughts and feelings, with sharpness and concision. His music, while being emotionally charged, has a refined, almost subdued sound to it - it often feels introverted even as the song reaches its emotional climax. The same with his voice and his singing - striking in a subtle way, and it grows on you as you listen to it more. This album is a good introduction and if you like what you hear, I recommend you to check out his fan site and take a look at his other albums (You can find it on Google. The site is called 'Outside Over There').

this is one of the best albums i have ever heard. after being a d.j. for over 25 years and playing some of the [stuff] people listen to now. if they was to ever listen to a real musician they would no longer buy the garbage we have to put up with today. thankfully we have c.d.walkmans now to get round the infernal racket of todays pop music

HASH(0xb1e5cd2c) out of 5 stars Luxurious Coffee March 17 2001

Awesome album. Awesome band. Awesome live in the early 90's. This collection of their best tracks is exactly that. Fretless bass in like the instrument was made for if you like laid back cool. In my amateur opinion, Thomas (not Lang), has one of the most smooth voices I've heard, perfectly tempered, harmonized and cut with those sliding lead bass-lines. This album gives no hint whatsoever as to why they never became a household name. When Starbucks diversify into the record biz... I'd put my bets here. If you like K.D. Lang, and Everything But the Girl, you'll wonder how you never heard of them (this at least their 5th album).
