April, 1945. As the Allies make their final push in the European Theatre, a battle-hardened army sergeant named Wardaddy (Brad Pitt) commands a Sherman tank and her five-man crew on a deadly mission behind enemy lines. Outnumbered and outgunned, and with a rookie soldier thrust into their platoon, Wardaddy and his men face overwhelming odds in their heroic attempts to strike at the heart of Nazi Germany.

Miracles happen to be on the side of being lucky... Or Not so lucky. You must watch the movie.
He commands a diverse group. There is Animal (Jon Bernthal) an Hispanic (Michael Peña) and a born again (Shia LaBeouf) . Norman (Logan Lerman) i.e. "normal" joins this group as a green soldier who is reluctant to kill. Collier must transfer the meek soldier into a killing machine and rather quickly through whatever unorthodox method as necessary.
The group is doing mop up work at the end of the war with 1,000's of Germans surrendering, yet they still meet the occasional sniper and pockets of resistance.
The film lets you know that war and Jesus don't mix. In the opening scene Pitt rides in on a horse and I couldn't help but think, "WOW! Joey really is a tough "War Horse." The film has action, drama, theme, and bit of humor. It was well acted and written, even if the history behind it isn't 100% accurate. No one looking for paintings or a private.
Parental Guide: Plenty of swearing. Implied sex. No nudity.
First off, the digital copy is crap, courtesy of Sony. You'll need to have yet another Sony subsite account that you can link to your UltraViolet UV account. You won't get an itunes version to redeem but you'll be able to download a copy from Sony; may be a deal breaker to those who have an existing/growing itunes library.
Featurettes are really good, will run about close to an hour and half to two hours, fifty minutes of those are deleted/additional scenes. Covering how they procured the tanks including the Tiger, how they trained and operated them, getting into the mindsets and talking to veterans, tank veterans giving a glimpse of their experiences of the war, etc. Really worth it for these extras. The deleted/extended scenes a worth it if you liked the film. I won't spoil them for you but some scenes will give you way more character backstory.
