About the Author
Sheri Van Dijk, MSW, is a mental health therapist and renowned dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) expert. She is author of seven books, including Calming the Emotional Storm , Don't Let Your Emotions Run Your Life for Teens , and Relationship Skills 101 for Teens . Her books focus on using DBT skills to help people manage their emotions and cultivate lasting well-being. She is also the recipient of the R.O. Jones Award from the Canadian Psychiatric Association.
Karma Guindon, MSW, RSW, RMFT, is a clinical social worker and registered marriage and family therapist in private practice and at a child and family mental health program at Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket, ON, Canada. She uses an integrative and collaborative therapeutic approach with the children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples who meet with her for psychotherapy. She is also in doctoral studies in social work at Wilfrid Laurier University in Kitchener, ON.
