How should I choose a birdbath?
• Survey your garden and decide what kind of birdbath would best fit your terrain. Hanging birdbaths are a great alternative for small spaces, while elaborate tiered basin systems are impressive garden features.
• Be a careful judge of the depth of the birdbath. A shallow birdbath will evaporate quickly, and won’t be as attractive to your local birds. A deep birdbath could impede your view, become slippery and be more difficult to clean. A good rule of thumb is a birdbath that is just deep enough for birds to wade in.
