I am so glad that I read this book. I suggested it to our librarian and she was kind enough to purchase it for our library. I hope that many others will read the book and find joy in their life...just appreciating their life, the people and nature around them.
I can't help but wonder though, how this would all work for someone who was not raised in any religious affiliation at all. Would this person even think about God or if they had children, would they discuss a spiritual life with their children? Or would those people with no religious background seek out the latest helpful guru of the day?
I am glad that I tried various religions and learned a lot along the way. Thomas Merton was always a favorite of mine as was Eknath Eswaren. I think I own all of Merton's books and I plan to go back and read them again. I also plan to buy Kent's book so that I have my own copy to refer to.
I wish that Kent had included some EndNotes like Rob Bell does his books. The EndNotes give suggestions for further reading. Kent mentions some books but having them all listed together would have been nice.
I look forward to your next book, Kent and finding out how you are progressing on your life's journey.
