The description of this book is not at all of what this book is about. I was surprised, it was not what I expected. I mean I was laughing my ass off at times, very very funny parts. Then there was the part where I had tears running down my face. This is a great book, I loved the story line and the laugh out loud moments. However, the reason I only gave it 3 stars is due to the language. I actually had to switch to reading it instead of listening so I could skip all the f bombs, n words and the Jesus ones and the God D**ns so don't listen so you can skip language. This book will stay with me a long time. Great ending.

I normally go for the chick lit genre so I was surprised at how much I loved this book. I could not stop reading it. It is a murder mystery but also keeps you laughing till the end. The author got the balance just right. Every time I had to put the book down, I could not wait to go back into Ron's life. It completely pulled me into his world. It is going on my list of books that I will read over and over again.

I wasn't sure if I'd like this book, but it just blew me away. The depth of the characters, the way the writer wove the story, and the totally surprising ending made this a great read. Mr. Pickles, the insurance agent, takes you for a ride into the Chicago ghetto that is unforgettable and let's you glimpse the real world of the Chicago Projects and the people who live and try to survive there. This book was really amazing and I cannot recommend it enough.
