Product Description

From Emma Hart, the New York Times bestselling author of the Game series, comes a brand new series where the game is realer, the tension is tighter, the sex is hotter, and the stakes are the highest of all...

Two people. Two agendas. Two games.

What happens when the out-there It-Boy of football meets the secret It-Girl of fashion?

As the daughter of Hollywood's sweetheart, Leah Veronica can't even buy a coffee without finding her face on a magazine stand, so it's no wonder she's launching her first fashion line in secret. With it debuting at New York Fashion Week in just under a month, extra time in the spotlight is the last thing she needs.

The son of the best quarterback the league has ever seen, filling legendary shoes as the L.A. Vipers' quarterback was inevitable for Corey Jackson. So was meeting Leah Veronica--the first girl to hand him his ass without putting a hair out of place.

Getting the sexy, prickly blonde into his bed becomes his number one goal. But getting the handsome, over-confident footballer the hell away from her becomes Leah's--at least until she realizes the best way to do that is to give him what he wants.

If only it was that simple.

When Corey discovers who she is, and private photos of Hollywood's finest find their way online, everything they thought they knew is thrown into disarray.

And when secrets are exposed and hearts are shattered, they have to figure out if they've been blindsided by love or reality, and if it's worth running the extra yard to win the game they never meant to play.

Corey and Leah

I don't know about this one. I wanted to live it so much more then I did.
Corey was really persistent and that's ok but it was almost to much.
Leah I get it she wanted to make her own way in the world. But did we have to hear about it over and over again how she wanted to make it on her own. No spot light. No Cameras. No Corey over and over till she finally gives in. Or she agrees to the 7 days and then she tries to turn the tables on him.
So then she wanted him to fight when she didn't really want him in the first place.. Lordy.. My head hurts
Then she plays games. Then she wants to know all about him but she doesn't open up at all. She teases the poor guy so much I am surprised he lasted as long as he did.... Sigh maybe I will like book 2 better not that this was was bad or anything I just didn't like Leah the rest of the characters are awesome.

I just got a but of a headache with the back and forth so much. I did love the aunt though she totally stole the show for me.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great story and chemistry! Jan. 14 2015

I pre-ordered this book after reading the first two chapters last week after they were posted on various blogs. I was very excited to read the rest of the book and knew it'd be good, having read some of Emma Hart's books previously. I wasn't surprised by how well written the book was, I just wished it was hotter.

The chemistry between Leah and Corey is great. So is their emotional connection to one another. I loved their banter and how they tried to one-up each other. I loved seeing them tease each other and just being around one another. I was certainly expecting fireworks and earth shaking when the two finally did the deed, but the love scenes fizzled for me. The build up was great, but the rest, not so much.

I liked how the story was fresh and not with the typical cliches that come with having a sports star as your hero. I also liked that Leah wasn't a celebrity wanna-be or hanger on and really wanted to do something and make a name for herself on her own. She's definitely not like the typical celebrity offspring we often read and hear about.

I loved both Leah and Corey's friends. I'm hoping to see one or more of them pair off with each other. Of course, I'm very excited to see how the series will progress regardless. I started reading this the moment it arrived on my e-reader and I didn't stop until it was finished. Of course, with a story like this, that's what's going to happen.

5.0 out of 5 stars Who could be hotter than Corey Jackson? WOW! Jan. 12 2015

My first Emma Hart book and what the freaking hell! I LOVED IT! Corey Jackson is too hot to handle cheesus.

I may have been slow finishing this book because of the reason that I have been putting it down several times because I needed to take a breather due to the hot moments that Corey was giving me. Every single word that comes out of his mouth just made my body sizzle. Like seriously! I am used to hot football stars but Emma Hart redefined my standards of a hot football star.

I also loved Leah! She is so feisty and I always laugh whenever she fights and give her angst to Corey. She's very stubborn but not irritating.

Blindsided is the first book I have finished this 2015 and it was definitely worth it! I am left so happy, my woman parts are satisfied (LOL) and Corey Jackson might stay in my dreams for a while.

This series is to watch for!

5.0 out of 5 stars A beautifully blinding romance Jan. 12 2015

Emma Hart has found a way for me to actually like football.. Okay, well more accurately a football player.

Corey Jackson had me swooning through the roof. At first he definitely came off as a typical man-slut; cocky, arrogant almost to the point of annoyance. Though Corey begins to show his true colors the more time he spent with Leah. His determination to have her was sexy beyond belief. He had to have her with a passion that transcended just wanting in her pants. It was so adorable to witness the back and forth banter that ranged from argumentative to flirtatious. They really complemented each other with their similar tastes and personalities.
Their relationship was the kind that slowly built up and snuck up on them out of the blue.

Leah was someone I could be best friends with. She’s so normal despite her celebrity status. She’s extremely humble and I think that was what I loved most about her. Her need to prove herself on her own terms, without the help of her fame-attached surname. I enjoyed seeing her feistiness when Corey was near, but her resistance towards him was exhausting. I don’t know how she was able to hold out on him for so long. She was quite stubborn at times and jumped to conclusions way too fast, but it was all understandable and tolerable.

Like usual, I began to love the supporting characters as well. Already I was beginning to match up everyone and wonder what their story would entail. All the while, I was still somehow enraptured by Corey and Leah’s blossoming love.

Blindsided had great laughs, steamy love scenes (like seriously turn up that AC), frustrating moments, and some sob-filled words. Beautifully balanced with every emotion, every step of the way.

Another story and yet another couple created from Emma’s mind has taken up room in my heart. Again I’m so very impressed with Emma’s writing and how effortlessly she fabricates these modernized fairy tale love stories.

I highly recommend this book and every other book from Emma Hart’s collection.

What a great story! If you're anything like me, you prefer not to read cliffhangers so you'll be happy to know this is not one. This is a standalone book. I found this book to be very funny and heartwarming. It is the proverbial playboy meets the challenge. What? There's a girl I can't charm with just a smile. Ha! Perish the thought! That's Corey Jackson meeting Leah Veronica. A challenge that turns into something more without them realizing it. I will say that when the drama hit, I felt the book dragged just a bit with the inner dialogue but it was still an entertaining read.

Side note for the editor: You need a better proofreader or editor. The mys instead of mes were irritating as were the duplication of sentences or paragraphs. If we the readers can see these errors, which by the way are VERY distracting, then why can't the editor? You deserve better. I hope this feedback reaches you.

3.0 out of 5 stars Emma Hart missed it with this one for me. July 7 2015

Leah and Corey see each other when she is out celebrating her 22nd birthday with her friends, Macey and Ryann. Leah rebuffs Corey's advances and establishes that she thinks he is lower than pond scum. Corey is intrigued and each of them decide to play a game with the other. Corey wants to get Leah into his bed and she wants to make him see that she is a person. Leah is hiding a secret that she claims she can't afford to get out. Although it is quite noble that she doesn't want to trade on her mother's name, the insane idea that she thought her designs were only going to be judged as being good because of her mother was unrealistic to me. Corey begins to really feel for Leah and acknowledges it but she fights it with all of her being. She wanted him to say he loved her but she said she wasn't ready. Leah was quite immature throughout this book and I did not really care for her. How quickly she lashed out at Corey when she thought her world was now finished and didn't even listen to him was pretty over-the-top. There were quite a few times that whole sentences were repeated in this story in a row and it got confusing and distracting at times. I also felt that there was too much prose and it just didn't sit right with the story. Although it attempted to try to make it feel elegant and thought-provoking, it just fell flat for me. Not my favorite but I have enjoyed the other works that I have read by her.
