Product Description

Product Description

Samuel King is an Amish private detective who has lived amongst the English in Independence, Missouri for sixteen years. When he is hired to find a missing accountant, Morton Clark, Samuel’s self-enforced solitary lifestyle is completely disrupted—the case unexpectedly leads him to the very sexy, very flawed Alistair Simms. Samuel is overwhelmed by his attraction to Alistair, and resisting the vampire is no simple task. Even for a chaste man.

Alistair, a 154 year-old vampire and recluse with familial ties to the kidnapped Morton, has spent his undead years caring for each generation of his brother’s children. To compound his guilt over the abduction of his great-nephew, Alistair is passionately drawn to Samuel. The detective’s innocence, purity, and physical perfection stir emotions in him he didn’t believe he was still capable of feeling. Being immortal was easier when he didn’t care.

Content Note: MM. The story contains scorching hot, explicit sex between two men. Read with a fire extinguisher handy. It is intended for adults who enjoy male/male romances 19+ only.

HASH(0x9b326db0) out of 5 stars I received a complementary copy in exchange of an honest review. Aug. 23 2014

When an Amish man falls for a vampire (man as well), his world starts to fall apart…. Or maybe starts to rebuild itself???
I found this to be a very romantic story, one of the best I have read when it comes to M/M. The inner demons and the tensions which arise because of them, flow between the pages with such an easy, that when the conclusion arises everything seems so natural. I think it requires great skill for a paranormal author to achieve such thing!

What does one do when they want to live like a recluse but need sustenance to live? Especially if that substance is human blood?

How does one live within the confines of their rigorous upbringing if the feelings you have for someone are considered beyond taboo? Even more so when it is someone of the same sex?

Alistair is an old vampire. Samuel is a private detective that was forced to leave his Amish upbringings. Tragedy brings them together, attraction divides them. However it won't be for long.

I truly enjoyed this recent release by Renee George. She's always had a great skill of sucking the reader into her stories but this one takes the cake! A missing person's case throws Alistair and Samuel together and while they try to fight the attraction - at least one of them does at first - we are taken down a harrowing adventure as they solve the case and finally admit to themselves and each other the strong feelings they both have! Sweet, wonderful read!!!

Bloody English was a sweet and romantic story. Yes, it is an erotic book, but not just erotic. There is a story and a good one.

Alistair and Sam was well written and fully developed. The supporting characters added depth and interest to the story. If you are new to M/M stories, this is a good book to start with.

The book started out well but got more implausible and mushy as it went along. If you like sweet fluffy stories with a tiny bit of violence this may be the perfect book. I like my vamps a little darker, with more depth.

HASH(0x9b950030) out of 5 stars An Awesome Read! Aug. 26 2014

I can never say enough about this Author! I have LOVED every single book she has written and this one is no different!

A Vampire bored with life and living with ghosts and demons from the past that prevent him from becoming emotionally attached to anyone.
A Detective with conflicted feelings trying to hold onto beliefs and a way of life that do not really fit with his needs and wants.
A missing person, Morton Clark, and no reason or explanation, or even a ransom demand, as to why he was taken or what the Vampire's connection is to him.
When Alistair, the Vampire, and Sam, the Detective, meet, sparks fly from both directions but fear, fear of the unknown, fear of being rejected, fear of consequences from follow through on any want or need clouds the heart and mind. While they struggle with their feelings while working to solve the case, time begins to run out for Morton.
Follow along with Alistair and Sam as they seek to find who took Morton, Why they took him, and whether or not Alistair and Sam will get to him in time. From the first page you will be swept up in the story and you won't want to stop till you reach the end!
