Putting others needs before his own was all Mike Carson had ever done.

First, it was the friends he loved more than family. Then it was his country. By nineteen, he was a father, a husband and fighting in a war not many people believed in. After an accident ended his career and his life fell apart, he filled his days keeping screaming fans from reaching the most famous country rock star in the world. And, pining after a woman who would never love him.
Then, everything changed.

He thought he could handle anything that was thrown his way. He thought running my security detail would be the easiest job he’d ever had. He thought he’d be able to keep me safe without getting attached.

He was wrong.

They call me reckless, selfish, and slutty. In reality, I’ve just stopped caring what everyone else thinks. I’m determined to have some fun, to live life my way, and to make Mike realize that being a little selfish isn't the worst thing in the world.

I think we both have our work cut out for us.

Once in a while, selfishness is not a sin, but rather a necessity to indulge.

Wow. As one of the judges in the popular tv reality dancing shows would scream out (So You a Think You Can Dance) 'the hot tamale train' absolutely stopped here with Carina Adams and gave her the inspiration to write Out of The Blue! From the numerous books I've so far read (and I can honestly admit that I still have personal novels that have been on the back burner for the past 6 months and I'm the speedy reader type), I have yet to come across a storyline like this one. Unlike any other novel, this one i have no choice but to it apart; and how can I not?

I really enjoyed this story. It was different and fresh. It honestly made me cry at some parts but it also made my heart swell with love to. Really glad I got to read it and it turns out i loved Mike and Molly. The story has a good flow to it and the characters were interesting. I'm going to have to read more books by this author

HASH(0x9eeb9978) out of 5 stars 5 Amazing Stars!!!! Oct. 28 2015
By jennifer skewes - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
When I read Forever Red I completely fell in love with Nate Kelly. But there was also the man behind the scenes that I could not over look or forget about. He is the man that everyone loved, the man that everyone wanted to see happy, and the man that we all wanted a story for. He is Mike Carson, and my God did I fall in love with him.

I think anyone who read Forever Red wanted Mike’s story just as badly as I did. When I first read the blurb for Out of the Blue I wondered who his love interest could possibly be. And then Carina sent me the first few chapters to beta read and when I found out who it was all I could say was “No Freakin Way!” And by the end of the book I can sit here and tell you that Carina Adams is pure genius. I was completely shocked by who his interest was but my God was she the perfect choice. If you fell in love with Nate and Lia then just wait until you read Mike Carson and his girl’s story because they will knock your socks off. These two are just made for each other.

There is apart of me that wants to keep it a secret so you can be pleasantly surprised just as I was. But I know with all the reviews out there it won't be possible. But I may just keep you guessing a bit longer. Lol.

At the end of Forever Red, Ms. Adams gave us an epilogue that was powerful and at the same time shocking. It broke my heart to see how much pain Mike was in. I knew he loved Lia and that they had a special relationship. But I never thought he felt that way about her. As much as she belongs with Nate a part of me wishes he got his girl. So seeing how much he loves her I could not imagine how he could ever get past that and find happiness himself. But Ms. Adams gave him an amazing and beautiful woman who he loves in ways that he never loved Lia. And over time he sees that maybe everything isn't always as it seems.

Mike left his job as Nate Kelly's security guard because seeing the woman he loved married and in love with someone else was just too painful for him. But when Lia comes knocking on his door begging him to return back to work because they need, him he can't say no. But this time around it's not Nate that he will be working for. He will be guarding and protecting Molly Ray. He's known Molly for a few years since working for Nate. They're friends and Molly is a really awesome girl. But never in a million years did he think that he would fall for her. Yes!!!! Molly Ray and Mike Carson!! See total shock!! Ok back to the story. Mike's job is to protect Molly but along the way they become so much more. But Molls has a past and so does Mike. With their past coming back to haunt the both of them, the rumors flying around, and the paparazzi everywhere, can these two even make it together. Or when the tour ends will their relationship as well? Hmmmm...you will have to read for yourself.

I cannot begin to tell you how much I loved Mikey and Mols. These two have a connection that is amazing and honestly I really have no words for it. They are sexy and adorably cute together. Mike is in a word perfect. He is sexy, controlling in a way that makes him even sexier but he also has one of the biggest hearts EVER!!!! He will do anything to protect his family and those he loves. Protecting Molly was a job but to be honest it was so much more for him. He protected her because he cared. I thought I loved Nate Kelly but man I think may love Mikey more. He is that special!

And Molly...well I have one big girl crush on her. She has been through a lot in her life. And while she is spunky and feisty there is also a part of her that doesn’t always stick up for herself. But with a man like Mike by her side and two best friends such as Nate and Lia she will get through what life has decided to throw her way.

I loved watching these two fall for each other. They both felt it, the connection that they had but I think they were also both scared and it took a little longer to admit what was really going on. But I felt it. I felt them falling for each other. I felt the love, the connection, and the emotions that they felt. I was on this journey with them and experience all of the emotions with them.

I don’t think anyone would ever expect Mikey and Mols to end up together but Ms. Adams gave us such an amazingly beautiful story that when it was all over you just knew that there is no other perfect match for Mike Carson than Molly Ray. When he called her kid I just melted. When she called him Mikey, a huge smile stretched across my face (sigh). Words cannot express how much I loved these two. They are right up there with Lia and Nate.

Once again Carina Adams has blown me away. It is her words that made me feel everything with these characters. I was hooked from the very beginning until the very last page. And to be honest I did not want to let go of these characters. I was so sad to see this story end. It stayed with me for days. This is one of those books that I can go back and read over and over again. As I write this review I have a smile on my face just thinking of Mike and Molly.

I have been a fan of Carina’s since the very beginning. I fell in love with her writing and her characters since reading her debut novel (Always Been Mine). I think she has grown so much as a writer and each book just gets better and better. I look forward to anything that this woman writes. I am so excited for Noah’s story and looking forward to more time with this family that I feel like I am a part of. Another amazing job Ms. Adams!!

HASH(0x9eeb99cc) out of 5 stars Out of the Blue! Nov. 3 2015
By CRISSY - Published on Amazon.com

** I was given a copy in exchange for an honest review. **
************ May Contain Spoilers **************

Out of the Blue was an okay read. I haven’t read the first book in the series, so going on this book alone it was mostly centered on Nate, Lia, Mike, Molly and Julie. Nate and Molly are country stars touring together with his wife Lia. Mike is their childhood friend who is also Molly’s security manager after her last security failed at the job and Julie is his ex-wife. Mike has always loved Lia, but circumstances changed; Nate and Lia got married and Mike married Julie. The story will give you glimpses of the characters past so you will know how everyone is connected. Lia is completely devoted to Nate, so don’t worry there is no love triangle in this story. One thing we learn while reading this book is that Mike still pines over the love he lost even while his relationship with Molly develops. Nate knows Mike loved Molly so that isn’t a secret and it doesn’t affect their friendship because Nate knows Mike would never cross that line. There are a few twists, turns, surprises and secrets that come out in this story. Molly’s sister Roxanne was so judgmental and I absolutely disliked her.
There were things I both liked and disliked about the story. Being as this is the first book I read, I was unsure how old Molly was because she was referred to as “kid” and it made her seem so young compare to the other characters, but when Mike came into the picture to protect Molly his character seemed older, more mature you knew without a doubt that he was a grown man. I didn’t like how Molly let people walk over her, her sister included. The story was a little slower than I would have liked and unfortunately it never seemed to pick up. However, I loved the friendship the characters shared; even though they went through tough times there was never a doubt about how much they loved and supported each other. Overall, it was an okay read and I’m glad I was given the chance to read a book from this author.

HASH(0x9eeb9e04) out of 5 stars Mike an Molly HOT Oct. 28 2015
By Linda - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
To be totally honest as I was reading this awesome book I had to stop an go find an read Forever Red. I know Out Of The Blue is a stand alone, but for me to understand better I read book one also. Out of the blue is awesome as I first stated I recommend it highly with 5 stars. I fell in love with Mike an Molly. Once I got back to reading it I just couldn't put it down. Mike an Molly realize what they want an they go after it. Mike has always been in love with Lea from Forever Red so he thinks he can never love anyone else but Molly shows him he can . He left Nate an Lea because he couldn't be around them cause of the love he has for her.
Lea goes an gets Mike to come back as bodyguard for Molly, she needs him an they both realize they need each other
Molly has a past she is still dealing with an a few demons that won't let her live het life the way she wants to. Just because she made a decision years ago an she made it for the better. As the story goes she has made a new life for herself an hopes it with Mike now but his ex Julie tries to take advantage of him by using the kids , there was a few times I wanted to just grab her an slap her silly.
I just can't say enough about this author love her books she is an amazing author. I was given this book for an honest review. Carina Adams has done it again. Mike is sweetie with a alpha side when needed an Molly is a sweetheart also a independent hard headed young lady rock star who doesn't take crap from anyone, a take no prisoners attitude you get in her face she gives right back.

HASH(0x9eeba1e0) out of 5 stars Love Mike and Molly! Nov. 1 2015
By Nikki ~ Saint and Sinners Books~ - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
I actually loved this book better than the first one. I don’t know what it was but both Molly and Mike stole my heart. I love older guys younger girls anyway so this book was right up my alley.

Mike is such a sweetheart BUT he is also very bossy, cocky, and a total alpha. We meet Mike in book 1 and know that he has always been in love with Lia or maybe he really hasn’t. Mike, Nate and Lia are all best friends so it’s hard for Mike to be around these two all the time. When Mike agrees to go back on tour to help out Molly he never expects his whole world to be flipped upside down.

I love Molly! She is young and wild and really doesn’t care what others think of her. She only obeys for her career but she is still rebellious. Molly and Mike have known each other for a long time but the more time they spend together the more their feelings change.

This book is a roller coaster ride at times. I wanted to smack both Molly and Mike’s heads together quite a few times. Also Mike’s ex wife is HORRIBLE! I couldn’t stand that crazy woman. Mike has his own issues he is dealing with but Molly also has a few BIG secrets along the way. I love the connection between Molly and Mike and I love how he always stood up for her no matter what. I can’t wait for the next book!

HASH(0x9eeba2c4) out of 5 stars Finally. Mike's story! Oct. 28 2015
By Theresa - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
We finally got Mike's story! Mike, I met him in Forever Red. He was in love with HER, the one he couldn't have. Or he thought so. Until Molly came back into his life and flipped his world upside down. Has Mike gotten over pining the woman he thought he loved and chase after Molly or will he create mayhem with Lia and her marriage?
I loved reading this book, it's filled with angst and the feels. Mike has to be my favorite character in this series, he was definitely put in the place and tested while working with Molly due to her 'free spirit, take no crap, I'll do what I want' personality. Molly is one of my favorite heroines. She's so strong but merely a human like us all, she has her breaking point and a past that she tries so hard to run away from and drown in her music. Her only outlet. Until Mike. Will he ever be her outlet too or is he too far deep into pining after Lia...

I already want to reread the book again.
