Legendary Features

The legend of the Yeti continues with the most advanced and versatile multi-pattern USB microphone roaming the wild today. The Yeti Pro features tools and recording capabilities usually requiring multiple microphones and devices, all with the simplicity of a plug-and-play USB microphone.

Desktop or Studio, the Possibilities Are Endless

You can quickly select from each of Yeti Pro's four pattern settings (stereo, cardioid, omnidirectional, bidirectional) by simply rotating the pattern selector knob. The chart below shows each pattern's symbol, sound source direction, and suggested recording applications.

Like Having Four Mics in One

The Yeti Pro is like having four mics in one, thanks to its built-in pattern selector. Choose between four polar pattern settings for any home recording application. Select Stereo for capturing a realistic, two-channel stereo image. Cardiod is the most commonly used mode for basic recording and is useful in almost any situation, such as recording vocals, a podcast, voiceover work, and more. Omnidirectional mode is perfect for recording a group of musicians playing at the same time, or recording a conversation between multiple parties around a room such as a conference call. Choose Bidirectional for individual instruments, or for recording an interview with two or more guests.

Its versatile application along with simple plug-and-play functionality makes the Yeti Pro the only desktop microphone you'll ever need.

Stand and Cables Included

The Yeti Pro features a custom base, including a threaded mic stand mount with cable management. A USB cable and a stereo XLR breakout cable are also included in the box.

I was originally cautious about buying this mic because the company seems to have a lot of hype surrounding it. When I found one for nearly half price on a Black Friday deal, I figured why not grab one? I'm glad I did. This is the most versatile mic I own and I own quite a few (lots of Shure SM-57s, 58s, etc.). It is my go-to mic now for online conferencing. I love using it for recording jingles for podcasts. I like how the cardioid setting cuts out background noise just like a dynamic mic does. I love the sound of the stereo setting (and the fact that a dual cable adapter was included!). Also like that it doesn't pic up noise from my laptop's mobo when connected via USB.

A note to those buying the Pro version... Make SURE whatever you are connecting this mic to (mixer/digicorder/etc.) can supply 48V phantom power if you will be using the XLR jacks. Also use decent balanced XLR cables and you're good to go.

Very impressed with this product. It is good enough that it has changed my attitude the company that made it.

I was a previous buyer of the Snowball from Blue Microphones. Although that served me well I wanted an upgrade as I do record audio for professional reasons. This microphone has excellent sound quality, looks incredible and is reassuringly heavy. If you're wondering about the benefits over the standard Yeti, check out the comparison on the Blue Microphone website. If you're making YouTube videos for a personal channel, I'd suggest the Yeti. If you are in some way using a microphone for professional reasons I would highly suggest the Yeti Pro. Everything about the Yeti Pro has impressed me. It will not disappoint you.

Looks very nice and is solid. Setting and volume nobs are a bit stiff. Unfortunately the one I got wouldn't connect to any computer I had, using any cable I had (including the one it came with). Well, it would connect seemingly randomly, but within 5 seconds you'd hear the disconnected sound, as it loses connection. The USB port or USB wiring could have been damaged, or the wiring on the circuit board damaged causing it to cut out/power off. I don't know. It annoyed me a lot. A lot of time wasted on this faulty product which, being fulfilled by Amazon, I trusted would be in the condition advertised - "Good." I usually steer clear of second hand things unless it's refurbished, and the first time I decide to go for something second hand in a long time because it's from Amazon, I get let down. 3 stars though because it's for the product, not the seller, and I can't rate it higher or lower because my experience is limited to unpacking it and handling it.

I needed a microphone to record my classical guitar performances for YouTube posts, to record a very good guality audio with clarity that would meet my expectations in this price range also a microphone that would create the least amount of background noise or static. After reviewing this product and watching videos recorded by this microphone, I decided to buy The original Blue Yeti. After recording, I was very satisfied with it. So, I decided to get the Blue Yeti Pro to even get the better result. I have recorded couple of my performances with it and I am very happy with my choice, barely I can hear any noise in my recording and still the quality is great for this price range. It is worth the money I spent on it and I am sure my audiences will enjoy my recordings even better.

I had some syncing problems with GarageBand where even though it is indicated in the application that input will be the Blue Mic, i still have to go to system preferences and change it from there. Other than that the sound is amazing!

Great quality sound. So far so good. The stand doesn't absorb background noise well at all. You will want a proper mic stand to get this off your desk.

First off, in regards to the Mac adaptability issue, it's been remedied (they now have a download to fix that issue.)

Sometimes "pro" just means "better", but with the Blue Yeti Pro they literally do mean professional! This thing is a high-end product, recording over four times CD quality, with analog and USB ports. You can record in a variety of settings, whether it's for commentary or podcasting (recording directly in front of the microphone), two-way conversations, stereo (multiple directions) or ambient sound (all around.) The thing is huge and it looks and feels so state-of-the-art that it makes me feel professional with the vocal work that I do. This product is highly recommended for professional musicians, singers and audio performers! The microphone can be unscrewed and mounted on a standard stand, ect. of your choice. I love the one that it comes with however because it adjusts easily and rests firmly. Also, you can plug in headphones (the volume controlled by the volume knob on the front) to hear your voice as you record. There is also a "gain" button which comes in very handy for digital recordings via the USB cord.

But if all you're doing is recording audio for YouTube, etc. then you'd might as well just purchase the regular Blue Yeti and save some of your money! The regular Blue Yeti records at DVD quality, which is already more than sites like YouTube can output!
