About the Author

GRACE LIVINGSTON HILL (1865 1947) is known as the pioneer of Christian romance. Grace wrote overone hundred faith-inspired books during her lifetime. When her first husband died, leaving her with two daughters to raise, writing became a way to make a living, but she always recognized storytelling as a way to share her faith in God. She has touched countless lives through the years and continues to touch lives today. Her books feature moving stories, delightful characters, and love in its purest form.Grace Livingston Hill began writing stories in 1877 at the tender age of twelve and didn t stop until her death in 1947. But what may be more amazing is thatshe has sold over 84 million copies and is still loved by young and old alike. --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

I love all of Grace Livingston Hill's books and this one is no exception! I see enough of "the real world" every day. I like my books and my movies to show the world as it should be.

This was a really good book. As soon as I started reading it I did not want to put it down to do anything else.

Yes, this book is short. But the characters are likeable, and I cared what happened to them. Aunt Marilla's turkey dinner sets the standard, and I wish all ailing soldiers could have such tender care as she and Mary Amber provided. A really good ending. I'm just saying.
HASH(0xa1d8e9b4) out of 5 stars A Short Story Oct. 22 2011

Was looking forward to a Grace Livingston Hill book that I had not read before. Was suprised to find it to be so short in length. The story line was good although not much scripture that one usually finds in her books.

I was a big fan of Grace Livingston Hill when I was a teenager. I read all of her books I could get my hands on. I had never read this one, and I especially liked the large print.
