About this item
- The Original Trigger Point Tool - Trigger points are tight, tender, contracted muscle fibers, which cause pain. Using a Body Back Buddy to apply sustained pressure to a trigger point can interrupt the pain-spasm cycle. When you release the pressure, you will feel the muscle relax as fresh oxygenated blood flows in.
- 2 Hooks Are Better Than 1- The 2 hooks and 11 knobs (in 3 different shapes) were created to alleviate pain and soreness across the entire body. Unlike single muscle hook designs, the two hooks on the Elite let you apply more leverage to more parts of the body. The 3 different shapes include acorns for deep tissue, round for gliding over larger muscle groups, and nubs for the lower back. Also, the Elite offers 4 non-slip grips to ensure that you never lose control while applying pressure.
- Full Body Pain Relief - Designed to be the only massage tool you need to achieve fast, simple relief for your whole body. More than just a shoulder massager, the Body Back Buddy is built to directly target pressure points throughout the body located in the back, neck, shoulders, legs, feet, and thighs.
- Won't Bend or Break - The sturdy one piece construction is lab tested to be up to 30% stronger than other therapy canes. You can see and feel the difference. No assembly required. Ships to you ready to use out of the box.
- Proudly Made in the USA - Every Body Back Buddy is made in USA, TN from materials sustainably sourced in the U.S. Built to last, every Body Back Buddy is backed by a 1-Year Support.

The double pack works great if you have more than one person you want to give a gift to. This is why I bought this pack.

And this brand is the best one you can get, in my opinion- believe me, I've tried some others. This brand is sturdy plastic that allows every bit of energy you use to go straight in to the spot you are applying pressure to. Other brands may have "give" to them that causes you to expend more energy and tire you out.
I have two pain conditions, fibromyalgia and chronic myofacial pain. This type of tool has been a life saver for me! With CMP, I literally have hundreds of active and painful trigger points all over my body. The most effective way to use this is to find your trp- for me, it's when I feel a hot burning pain when pressure is applied. I then hold steady pressure on that spot for at least 25 seconds and up to 30. If you go longer than that, you risk irritating it instead of "releasing" it- less than that and the same thing, you can end up irritating it and triggering it further. Make sure you are taking long easy breaths during this process. It can be painful so your instinct will be to hold your breath. Remember that trp's can be grouped together, so there will be areas of your body where you will move it slightly and find another trp. This is especially true in the upper back/shoulder area. If you get tension headaches, this will be a life saver for you, but it may take you some time to learn your body and where your trps are, how long and how much pressure to hold, etc. I said, a good way to find them is to feel around for those spots that are tender or have a hot burning pain when pressure is applied. Feel around your scalp, your jaw, neck, under and around your shoulder blades, hands, feet, even that area underneath and a little back from your armpit. And for me, the most important thing has been to hold pressure long enough to release it- 25 to 30 seconds!! It takes time and patience, but it is worth it!
Now, oddly, my boyfriend has not yet figured out how to use the Back Buddy. He keeps trying to use it as a back scratcher. The entire thing is very confusing to him. But that's fine, because when I say I bought it "for him" what I really mean is I bought for for me to leave at his house. So it works out that he never wants to use it himself. Now I can sit on HIS sofa in a zombie-like state giving myself the best massage of my life. Or my own sofa. Or my sister's sofa. Basically I'm slowly accumulating Back Buddies in all the places I frequent so I can experience a phenomenal massage at any time.
Unfortunately, the Back Buddy comes in a limited range of colors, making it a little less exciting to purchase. But I PROMISE: the results compensate for any lack of style.
i like this thing a lot
my upper back, around my shoulder blades, gets knotted up very easily. i don't have the money to go to a chiropractor or get a massage regularly, so i try to get my girlfriend to jam her elbow in my back twice a week or so. but because of her smallish frame and my great bulging back muscle, she gets tired from it quickly. i don't like to have to lay on the ground and roll on a tennis ball, too much effort (yes, i'm so lazy, i don't want to lay on the ground and move my body over a ball) and it just doesn't work as well for me.
so i bought this for the times when my girlfriend doesn't feel like elbowing me and i just need a quickie. it's no masseuse replacement but it gets the job done.
i haven't explored all of the techniques that can be accomplished with this tool. i've only used the neck massage (also excellent) and the end with the round point. the opposite end has more of a sharp point, but i find that it's a bit too sharp for me.
on a side note, there are two handles that protrude straight out in opposite directions. one looks like a handle with a ball tip, the other looks like a handle with an acorn-shaped tip. the acorn-shaped tip looks a bit... familiar...
