I am nearly finished reading this book. Suzanne Somers certainly gets to the facts by interviewing several Doctors and Scientists who have attained knowledge through study and experimenting of various physiological systems in the body. Suzanne is telling us all about how we can make our bodies well by eating organic foods and how your body is affected if you dont eat properly. She enjoys perfect health and gives a glowing picture of her and her husbands health.
Personally, I would find it abit difficult trying to involve myself in everything she advocates, as living in Canada, some of us cannot get organic where we live and do not have access to the same medicals as they do where she lives in the states. Suzanne however, does give out the facts that she has learned and is sharing her knowledge with us in this book.

I ordered this for my mother who had wrecked a library book of the same name and needed to replace it. I never actually read the book- but she sure loved it. What I liked about the transaction is how QUICKLY it arrived and that the price was the best one out there! GREAT STUFF!

This was an extremely interesting book that was at times very uplifting and at times kind of depressing. Uplifting as to hope in the battle against cancer and depressing as to the extent of the toxic world that big business and pharmaceutical companies have created for us. The author interviews various anti aging and cancer doctors in different fields relating to these subjects. From Hormonal replacement to TA65 chromosome extensions, these are cutting age methods that I have never heard of and most of which are available right now. I personally am going to partake of some of them as the current epidemic of cancer and the failure of orthodox medicine protocol in the last 50 years despite billions of dollars world wide for research to stop this has made me lose faith.

By using her past challenges combined with a vast amount of knowledge gained from both allopathic and alternative healers, Ms. Somers has offered a valuable gift by sharing her experience. It is for anyone who opens this book and their minds to the possibilities that await all of us.
The claims suggested are discussed by a wide range of accredited physicians from well respected academic institutioms known internationally.
Protecting our bodies, our environment, and choosing non-chemical options are some of the ways that we can encourage health and energy.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Fascinating Look At New Medical Treatments Told As Only Suzanne Can May 8 2012
By Jack - Published on
Format: Hardcover
I've always been fascinated and intrigued by Suzanne Somers' books. While definitely controversial, you have to hand it to Suzanne for pushing the envelope when it comes to aging, beauty, and health. Like in her previous books, Suzanne compiles the absolute newest medical treatments and theories to challenge the current dogma about aging and medicine. Her ideas, though supported by various experts (including many highly qualified physicians), are no doubt controversial and might even be considered dangerous by some.
But as a real, practicing physician, I would argue that we need Suzanne Somers. In this book she encourages, even pushes, the medical community to rethink its current stances on many common diseases. Testosterone for prostate cancer? Vitamin K supplements to prevent heart attacks? Injections of White Blood Cells to prevent cancer? She even reveals some her own most intimate medical secrets, including being one of the first women in the United States to undergo an experimental stem cell procedure for reconstructing her breast that was removed for breast cancer. She took it upon herself to obtain the necessary FDA clearance and flew a Japanese surgeon to the State to perform the surgery. Talk about being driven!
The conversations and questions that Suzanne poses in her book are necessary and interesting. I commend her on doing her due diligence in researching the arena of aging and disease. It is truly a fascinating read for everyone. Before considering any of these treatments, though, it is extremely important to discuss them with your physician. Whether one believes in the secrets she espouses in this book or not, we can all agree that Suzanne looks amazing. Can you believe she's in her 60's?

A nice companion for this book is Dr. Jennifer Ashton's Your Body Beautiful: Clockstopping Secrets to Staying Healthy, Strong, and Sexy in Your 30s, 40s, and Beyond . It's written by an OB-Gyn and has lots of tips that I give to my own patients for staying healthy and looking great as Father Time continues on. Also highly recommended.

I beat lymphoma in 1990. Suzanne knows enough to ask doctors the right questions and has the ability to translate it into easy reading. If you or someone you know has cancer you owe it to yourself to read her books.

3.0 out of 5 stars save your money June 9 2012

Writing is easy, and it's a fast read. I didn't care for the Q and A interview format in many chapters. Content was interesting but VERY expensive to implement; even her long list of supplements is both daunting and costly. While I don't disagree with author's info, guess I expected more that real people could use. You have to be very afraid of aging and have deep pockets to get the most of this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Don't miss this one! July 14 2012

Whether you have read a thousand health-related books or this is your first, don't miss this one! I learned so much, and I have changed the way I look at nutrition and the way my body works. It doesn't matter if you can't afford to do all that Suzanne does, you can make changes that will affect how you feel immediately. Buying this book was the best thing I've done for myself all year. I highly recommend it!
