He's too hot for words.

Mia
Alex Lawson might as well be the hottest book boyfriend imaginable. A fun, romantic, possessive, panty-melting man. And the best part? He's real. For a girl like me--a slightly awkward book addict--Alex is a dream come true, straight off the pages of my favorite romance novels.

But our story is turning into a whirlwind romance--the kind that only exists in books. Are we heading toward our own happily ever after? Or is he too good to be true?

Alex
Here's the thing: I'm not a bad guy. Lying to Mia wasn't part of the plan. Finding success as a romance author using a female pen name wasn't part of the plan either. But sometimes life takes unexpected turns.

Like realizing the woman you're falling for is your alter-ego's online best friend.

Online, she thinks I'm a woman named Lexi. In person, she knows I'm all man. I want to worship her body and claim every inch of her. But if she discovers my secret, I could lose everything.

***Book Boyfriend is a stand alone romance with a guaranteed to make you swoon HEA. It contains mature language and content and is intended for a mature audience. Fair warning, ladies--Alex will melt your panties off, so have an extra pair on hand before you one click.***

Kendra's story, Cocky Roommate, is now available!

Title: Book Boyfriend
Author: Claire Kingsley

5 amazing stars

Too often I've wondered what i would do if the perfect boyfriend showed up in front of me - of course, the kind that i usually only find in books, too good to be true and so very, unbelievably irresistible. I won't lie, i still believe that those kinds of men are only available in our minds and written down in the pages of the best books that i love. Of course, i was more than curious to find out how Claire Kingsley would make her own book boyfriend real and believable. And what an interesting journey it was, that's for sure. I've met authors who write in the opposite gender, and it's always been fascinating to see how they can be as realistic as possible; so it's no wonder that when Alex meets Mia as his alter ego, Lexi, they become fast friends. Mia loves books, would live in them if possible, something i can absolutely relate to. When she comes across Alex, their chemistry is instant, seemingly as though he's too good to be true. Only, Alex knows more about Mia than he leads on, his feelings so very true, but secrets are something that shouldn't be kept in case they come out...

4 breath taking dreams

It was an adorable story, the kind that really makes you wonder if it happens. How many times do you chat with someone online and truly hope that the person you're speaking to is who they really are. Of course, every so often, they are nothing like what we'd expect, being the complete opposite. While i did like this book, it was interesting and the kind of story that will make you think twice about who you speak to, there was so much i was hoping for. It's difficult admitting this simply because i had high hopes reading the blurb and getting into the story.

5.0 out of 5 stars Seven reasons why Book Boyfriend is EVERYTHING! April 5 2017
By kookiequinn - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
Everything I wanted in a contemporary romance is in THIS book. If you read as many romance novels as I do, it's rare to get everything you want. I promise you will close this book and want to start reading it again.

Quick thoughts on the characters:

Mia - The most adorable heroine to date, no lie. She's awkward and a little shy, smart, funny and everything grumpy Alex needs in his life.
Alex - Yes. Alex is your dream Book Boyfriend. Mia can't believe he's for real and you won't either but you'll REALLY wish he was. He's a little grumpy and down on love but all he needs is his number one fan to show him happily ever afters are TOTALLY a thing.

So here's the basics because if you're reading this, you're trying to decide if it's worth buying or taking up space in your KU library.

1.) Cheating? Are you kidding me? "Book Boyfriend" Book boyfriends DO NOT cheat. Alex sets the standard.
2.) Cliffhanger? No, I'm pretty sure I'd have thrown and broken my iPad if it was. Maybe sent hate mail? HA! No I wouldn't do that (I totally would).
3.) HEA? Sit back and imagine your most perfect ideal Happily Ever After. Done? No? I'll wait. Ready? Ok. Claire wrote it, I promise. She totally did, I swear.
4.) Graphic violence or anything that might make you cringe? Nope, this is super sweet contemporary. Your teeth might hurt from the sweetness.
5.) Well written? YES! When you're finished reading this you'll know that CK and her editor are a dream team.
6.) Sexual content? How hot was it? Too much? Not enough? No one, and I mean NO ONE writes panty melting sex like CK. This book? Yeah, she upped her game. Don't read this too far away from home. You might need to change.
7.) Would I recommend this book to my friends? No. Not at all. I'm just going to buy them all a copy. They have no choice. I know what's up and this is seriously one I don't want anyone to miss. Though, I WILL start bringing up this book in casual conversation with strangers and recommend it to people I don't know. "Some weather we're having here." "Yeah, sun, whatever, listen you need to read this book. Give me your phone, I'll just one-click for you.

5.0 out of 5 stars I LOVED this story April 10 2017
By Books, Wine & Time - Published on Amazon.com

I finished Book Boyfriend by Claire Kingsley, who is a new author to me. I LOVED this story, it is swoon-worthy all the way through and it's off the charts HOT!!! Reading this book as a blogger and a crazy reader of romance, this was a breath of fresh air for me. I could not help but smile throughout my read and most of the words written by this author feels like it's something you have experienced or thought of, I was like...Is this author in my head?

Alex Lawson is unhappy at his job and wants to write science fiction books, he needs money fast to help his family so he is given the advice to write romance novels which he does under the pen name Lexi Logan, a female author. Lexi befriends a blogger Bookworm Babe, they become best of online friends. Alex has a wonderful loving family, his sister is the only one that knows his secret. Alex is everything I imagine in a book boyfriend, sexy, romantic, dominate and loves hard.

Mia is beautiful inside and out, she is dependable, loving, honest and a lover of books. She hasn't had much luck in the dating department so she keeps herself busy with her job that she loves and blogging as Bookworm Babe, who wants to stay anonymous. Mia's favorite romance author is Lexi Logan and they have become best of friends sharing story ideas and dating scenarios.

What happens when Alex and Mia bump into each other and their connection is everything written in a romance book. Will Mia be able to forgive Alex when she finds out the man she has fallen in love with is not only her favorite romance author but he is also the person she has been talking to about her dates? This is a story that I find myself wanting to talk about but I won't so I can't spoil anything. All I want to say is that I hope to read more about Alex's brother and even his sister, this would be a great series. I 5 freaking loved it Stars!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars I am so in love with this book! July 5 2017
By Carol - Published on Amazon.com

Book Boyfriend is the first book I have ever read by Claire Kingsley. I have to ask myself why, why, why?! Because I have fallen in love with this book. It was full of humor, it was quirky, sweet, sexy as heck and just beautifully told. And the ending. Well, I swooned.

Mia Sullivan loves books. I mean, she really, really does. In real life, I think she was like a patient liaison at a hospital. She wears glasses which are constantly slipping down her nose, she is awkward, constantly dropping things or bumping into things and words just seem to occasionally pop out of her mouth. She has no filter. But Mia has an alter ego, Bookworm Babe or “BB.” It’s a book blog that she started for fun but it grew in popularity and now it’s a huge part of her life. Online she isn’t awkward or always doing the wrong thing. She has developed online friendships, one in particular with a popular romance author, Lexi Logan. They chat almost daily and she finds herself telling Lexi things she doesn’t tell anyone else. Just like you would a normal best friend.

Alex Lawson has a crappy job he hates and a novel he has been trying to write for years. His father has a serious debilitating back injury and needs expensive surgeries that insurance won’t completely cover. So Alex is doing all he can to help pay for his father’s care. It’s his sister, Kendra, who finally suggested that perhaps Alex could use his writing talent in a more marketable way, romance. But male romance authors are a hard sell so why not write under a female pen name, Lexi Logan. And who would have thought that Alex would actually be good at it. His books became wildly popular.

“No one has ever kissed me like that before. So perfectly. I didn’t even mess it up. Normally I get so flustered, I do things like elbow the guy or poke him in the eye. But not this time. Not with Alex.”

Alex and Mia literally crashed into one another and Alex found himself smitten with this gorgeous, funny, sweet woman. He just can’t seem to get her off his mind. It doesn’t take long, though, for him to figure out that this is “BB.” This is the book blogger his alter ego, Lexi, has been chatting with. But no one except his sister knows who Lexi Logan really is. Alex’s Dad’s medical care is hugely expensive. He barely knows Mia. It’s too early in their relationship to take a chance on telling her the truth. What if it doesn’t work out between them? She could out him. But their relationship fast tracks and feelings quickly deepen. He knows he needs to tell her but now he’s afraid he could lose her. Is there ever a right time to tell the woman you’re in love with that you’ve been lying to her?

“He has the look of a man who knows exactly what he wants, and is completely confident he’s going to get it. He should be. He’s absolutely going to get it. Whatever he wants, I’m giving it to him.”

I love the way this story was told. Just loved it. I couldn’t love Mia any more. I mean, she’s like my own personal idol. She loves to read, she lives to read. What I really loved about her, though, was that all her clumsiness, awkwardness, or inability to socialize disappeared when she was with Alex. She was confident and she was sexy when she was with him. He seemed to bring out all the best in her. These two together were on fire.

“You’re right out of a book. Gorgeous and sexy. Romantic. Fun. I joked for years that all my book boyfriends ruined me for real men, but you give those fictional guys a run for their money.”

For me, this was just a perfect book. I couldn’t put it down. There were no slow spots. I had to keep turning the pages to see what happened with Mia and Alex. And I couldn’t have loved the ending more. I definitely want to read more by Claire Kingsley and the perfect way to follow this up is with Alex’s sister, Kendra’s book, Cocky Roommate. I have a feeling I’m going to fall in love with it just as I did this one.

“I literally ran into him by random chance, and every day since has been like a waking dream. He’s everything. No writer could have come close to creating a hero so perfect for me.”

5.0 out of 5 stars A completely perfect book. June 30 2017

This book was amazing! I do not even like contemporary romance 99% of the time but the blurb was cute and sounded funny so I took a chance and I am so glad I did! The characters could be someone you know that lives next door they were that real. Mia is shy and awkward and not the perfect girl for every guy in existence. Alex was a guy embarrassed but really good at writing romance novels. The book alternates between them so you get to know them both equally through out the novel and can understand in put yourself in the shoes of both characters. I loved that it started with Alex as most romances are centered around the female. Neither character was even close to perfect but managed to seem it because when they were together you could see how they were perfect for one another! Mia is so representative of tons of nerdy book loving girls that cannot find that one guy that will get their quirks and imperfections. Alex is simply the most perfect book boyfriend that could possibly exist finding Mia charming, honest and loving her little quirks instead of teasing her for them. The plot is beyond funny and sweet as can be with witty little bits thrown in to keep things going at a good pace. The plot flowed so smoothly once I started I had to keep going til the very end. I only stopped to gush and squeal over the cuteness of it all! When they hit their romantic upheaval (as all romances must have) I almost cried. The way Alex ended it (no worries I wont spoil it!) made me swoon. I mean if I wasn't sitting down I would have fallen over from being weak in the knees swoon! (I got little flutters in the belly and weak knees multiple times during the book) but especially when Alex decides how to make it up to her. Through the entire thing I just kept going yup I would ask him to marry me after the first date. Yup its definite I wouldn't even give him the choice at this point I would marry him. I even sent the link to 2 friends to read and discussed with one how to avoid looking sluttish or desperate if ever meeting someone like Alex and jumping them first day (no joke we so did). This book is a fairy tale but there's no magic or unbelievable circumstances. No fairy godmothers or wishes. Just love pure and simple....and not simple at all because love never is. A completely perfect book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Alex and Mia April 6 2017
By KellyB0213 - Published on Amazon.com

I totally fell in love with this. It was so much fun, super sexy, and very unique. We are literally reading a book within a book.

Alex is a man living in the world of romance writers. His alter ego 'Lexi' finds friendship with a blogger, 'BB'/Mia. They develop a friendship that is pretty awesome. They end up meeting in a bookstore in an adorable meet cute. Of course neither knows who the other is for a bit. Alex realizes it much sooner but the longer he is with Mia the harder he falls and the harder it is to come clean.

The best part of the whole story is when he uses his words to win her back. The best "win her back" moment!

This was such a beautiful and different love story told and we find out "book boyfriends" really do exist.

"He’s mine, and I’m his. Neither of us are perfect, but perfect for each other. And that’s what they mean when they say, and they lived happily ever after."
