An easy to understand, well illustrated book on the herbs, trees, berries, and other plants of the boreal region.
Though it only covers a portion of the plants in the boreal region, it gives an in depth description of each plants various attributes.

I love it, and I've made tea with most of the stuff I found in my yard I was taught were weeds!

Esthetically, this book is beautiful. full of colors and pictures, pictures that are accurate too. Its a nice compendium which shows only boreal plants, as the name says, i find it very interesting to have a book that specializes in local plants. All herbalism aspects are covered with monographs, suggested protocols and food recipes.
