After spending a fair amount of time choosing which wireless speaker to get for my bedroom, I'm glad I ended up getting this one.

Before I get into how it sounds, I first want to comment on its design, which is what really sold me. Since it's for my bedroom, I was looking for a speaker that would look both look nice and fit in well with everything else in the room. Not a single other speaker that I looked at in this category matched the SoundLink Mini in terms of style. I found that most competing speakers either go for some weird funky rugged look, or they're significantly larger than the SoundLink. If Apple were to create a Bluetooth speaker, I'd say it would probably look a lot like this. The minimalist button layout works well, and the volume buttons are at a different elevation so you can feel them in the dark. This speaker takes up such little space that you shouldn't have any trouble finding a good place to put it.

As for sound, this speaker produces a truly surprising amount of noise for its size. When you set it down and see how loud it can go for the first time, I almost guarantee you'll be surprised by how something so small can play the sounds that it makes. While it doesn't get to extraordinary volumes, it will still certainly be able to fill a small to mediumish sized room at a nice high volume. In terms of sound quality, it delivers nice full sounding sounds along with a nice kick of bass. If you're really big on bass, these aren't the speakers for you. With that being said, the device still has some nice and noticeable bass that should satisfy the average home listener.

While I bought the SoundLink Mini mainly for it to stay in my room, I was surprised at just how easy it is to charge and move around.

At first blush, this device is a miracle. It's loud, the bass is good and it is fantastic that it is wireless. After a bit of time however, you start to notice things like that the volume isn't actually all that loud after all, it constantly has problems linking with my laptop and phone (and I mean constantly), for some reason the volume resets itself all the time, and the battery life diminished really quickly. I've also noticed that the range is suboptimal and even with a device sitting right beside it, the SoundLink cuts out a lot. Considering the price, I am extremely disappointed. Bose is also one of those companies that tries to placate the customer by saying "Designed in USA, Made in China" which just tells me they are trying to take as many shortcuts as possible while soaking the consumer. You can see that there are lots of other glowing reviews so maybe I just got a lemon but since it was a gift, I cannot return it and am stuck with this temperamental object that held so much promise but turned out to be a major bummer.

Pros: good sound, solid construction
Cons: Bluetooth connection sometimes gives trouble, cannot have 2 devices connected to speaker, charging light next to power button is misleading, implying that the speaker is on when it is off, auto turn-off after 30 mins even when it is connected to a power outlet is not necessary and a serious inconvenience.

I would like to first start out by saying, I have owned this product for almost a year now. Bose really to me means, quality, and craftsmanship. This company knows how to build speakers, and they have been doing it for along time. The Bose Soundlink may seem small, but this speaker puts many other products to rest.

With today's generation every changing, Bluetooth makes it a breeze streaming music from all your devices. The rechargeable battery makes you enjoy music for hours before needing to charge it again. This device is truly a pick up and go device, and great for social gatherings.

I hesitated for awhile in dishing out the cash, and I am kinda disappointed I did. I was missing out on true perfect sounds quality.

Wow all I can say is wow. This speaker is the best speaker I've ever heard in all my life. Where can I start from,,the build quality or the amount of bass that is present in this speaker. This speaker is built like a tank,,it is fully made from aluminum and it is the first speaker to have that is made from aluminum so it is super durable,,then comes the second thing to talk about which is the sound quality,,it is amazingly bassy so it is gonna please a lot of people,,it may sound a little bit muddy because of the bass but don't be afraid because the sound is still clear and amazing. I purchased the Bose soundlink color as well and definitely the bass here is much better but the soundlink color has a clearer sound and also comes with a voice prompts. The only thing that I wished it came with is a carrying case since you're paying a premium price for it so it should came with one but to be honest I think it totally deserves its price because of the build quality and sound quality. Love it and by the way it is loud enough to fill a backyard may be the soundlink is a little bit louder but if you are listening both side by side you are definitely gonna choose the soundlink mini because of the aforementioned things I told you about in the review. If you can afford it go ahead and buy it because it really deserves its price. Way to go Bose,,a really premium product!
