This is a wonderful movie, and being used to the standard offering where macho italian mobsters beat up on their dumb molls, it is a real breath of fresh air.
Jennifer Tilley oozes sexuality from the opening scene in this movie, and never stops right to the end. She plays Violet, her character, brilliantly. A mob club Vamp who is there as furniture for the boys, and they drool and fight over her, little realising her true nature.
Enter Gina Gershon, the butch ex-con called Corky, flaming obvious lesbian, replete with tattoos and leathers. Boom! Violet moves from Vamp to seductress in some of the hottest sex scenes ever filmed - gay or straight!
Having formed a sexually charged but shallow bond, the ladies embark on a plan to relieve the mob of a couple of million in blood money. Violets significant other, Caesar (played brilliantly by Joe Pantoliano) is busy in the apartment laundering the money for the mob. In a tongue in cheek parody, he actually has to launder the money, washing off the blood, haning it to dry, and ironing it.
In classic Hitchcock tradition, Violet and Corkey tell us exactly how the heist is going to go down. And of course, it all goes horrible wrong. Caesar is not as dumb as they thought, and the plot escalates into angst, madness, violence and murder with a neat Tarantino-esqe twist.
This is a great movie - Hitchcock meets Tarantino. Lots of atmosphere and suspense, but also lots of laughs, not to mention mayhem and murder. Not a movie for those who are squeamish around blood, murder, violence, lesbianism or drain clearence. But highly recommended for those who love bondage, leather, tattoos, butch lady decorators and shiny stainless steel sink traps.

Very intense story about a guy from the Mob who doesn't realize that he's being setup by his girlfriend and her girlfriend. All three main characters are well played especially Joe Pantoliano as the unsuspecting mobster. Without giving too much away, Jennifer Tilley's characters is trying to break away from her Mobster boyfriend and hatches a plot with an female ex-con who is working on the apartment next door. The two ladies become lovers and the ex-con isn't sure if she's being played too. Anyways the plot involves a suitcase of Mob money being held by Pantoliano for the Mob that goes missing. 'Nuf said.

This movie could easily have been set as a stage play as it mostly takes place in two apartments. Because of the small setting the movie feels a bit claustrophobic which just adds to tension. The dialogue is sharp and after a while you just feel so bad for Pantoliano's character knowing that he's dug himself in such a deep hole that he can never crawl out never realizing till the end that he was set up.

I don't about you, but monster movies don't scare me half as much as a movie about missing Mob money and its consequences.

Corky (Gina Gershon) is an ex-con that has just been released from prison. Violet (Jennifer Tilly) is the girlfriend of Caesar (Joe Pantoliano), the mob's money launderer. When they meet in the elevator, the look that passes between them is curious if not a little lustful. Corky is doing repair work for the mob in the apartment down the hall (she is good with her hands). Soon Violet is knocking on the door offering coffee and a whole lot more (she know what she wants). When Violet accidentally loses an earring down the sink, Corky is called to retrieve it for her. It isn't really the earring that Violet is after though and Corky isn't about to resist a gorgeous woman.

One night, Caesar returns home carrying armfuls of bloody money that the mob's accountant has swindled. He needs to clean and count the cash before the mob boss arrives to reclaim his money the next evening. This starts Violet thinking, and soon Corky is thinking the same thing. Together they plot a truly ostentatious plan, to rip off the mob and force Caesar to go on the run. Unfortunately, things rarely go as planned.

Director/writers Andy and Lana Wachowski have created a smart, sexy thriller full of meaningful glances and hidden innuendo. The cinematography is brilliant, the visuals display a quirky sense of humour that draws the audience into the story and doesn't let go until the end.

Jennifer Tilly is captivating as Violet, her slow masterful seduction of Corky is nothing less than enthralling. Gina Gershon's Corky is the epitome of bad girl clad in sexy tank tops smudged with grease. The women's hot sex scenes pepper the film with steamy eroticism that makes it a delight to watch.

"Bound" is the type of movie that some people would call neo-noir Thriller,
but it's still not for every one, especially the lesbian scene, that some say takes away from the
movie,i really don't think so,because the plot was set out by Violet played by [Jennifer Tilly],
who with no other resources but her body,to get Corky played by [Gina Gershon]to steal 2 million
dollars from the mob and her crooked boyfriend caesar, who would
do [anything i think in a movie have you seen Killer Joe with the full frontal nudity scene] i almost
fell on the floor,so if you think not showing the scene of the love making,or listening to Jennifer Tilly
voice for under 2 hours i might add, you're very much mistaken, because it is the plot,so take your A#%
out of head because there is something afoul with you,why does everyone seem to think all
movies has to suit there needs or taste,i will say it was a dam good movie for my taste especially
Caesar [Joe Pantoliano] who was very good, and i see they use Legendary director [Richard C.Sarafian],
(Vanishing Point) as the mob boss, now this is in full screen which i hate, so i went and change my
setting on my blu-ray player so it becomes widescreen, and i have to say picture Quality is great on
this blu-ray.
