Excellent! Love them! We got the adult versions for my husband and I, and one for each of our boys. So much easier to keep our skiis together and help the kids carry their own skiis... They actually beg us to carry them now with these cool straps whereas before it was constant complaining about carrying their own heavy skiis! Would definitely recommend this to anyone especially when skiing with a young family...

HASH(0x9e164a14) out of 5 stars The best ski carrier I've used Jan. 8 2011
By RiverineX01 - Published on

I just bought my fourth Bowtie ski carrier. I've got four skiers who need to carry their skis and initially bought several different kinds of ski carriers to see what I like best. I bought more because I like them so much more than the others that I'd rather not use the other-brand ski carriers I have at all. The broad straps are easy to wrap around skis and poles, with the elastic in the strap keeping everything snug. The expandable handle/shoulder strap lets you sling your skis over the shoulder for walking to the slopes or just hold them in your hand if you prefer. I've got my pre-teen children putting their own carriers together and carrying their own skis (the real reason I bought them). The Bowtie ski carrier is the best we've used. Service and delivery was prompt and professional. No problems at all! Great product!

HASH(0x9e164c3c) out of 5 stars Use It As a Sling Too! Jan. 17 2013

While all of the pictures cover the bowtie used as a handle, it's also a sling to carry gear on your back too.

Having started my kids on skis, I quickly found it impossible to carry my gear and two sets of skis/poles for the kids. After buying two Kids Ski Carriers, I no longer had to juggle gear for 3 people. With their own Ski Carriers, my children are so proud and confident to carry their own gear. For a dad just starting them on the slopes, this carrier helped them be involved, not just hang out waiting for everyone else to load up.

These come in different sizes as described on the bowtieproducts web site, so pick the right one for your needs:

Kids Ski Carriers - good for 2-11 year olds to carry or sling their own gear
2" Magnum / Adult Ski Carrier - Typical for most 12 and up (strap adjusts from 24 to 42 inches)
Special 'Fat Ski' Carriers - for teenagers or adults with wider skis
Big and Tall Carrier - Better for those over 6'2" tall (strap adjusts up to 54 inches)

HASH(0x9e164ea0) out of 5 stars Bowtie Ski Carrier Dec 31 2010

I just received the Bowtie Ski Carrier and must say that it is as easy to use as was demonstrated on the manufacturer's website. I tried a different product and the Bowtie is by far a more superior ski carrier. The ease of carrying the skis and poles with the wider strap and being able to adjust it, makes a world of difference. I am happy I ordered the Bowtie and I highly recommend it to all skiers, I give it two thumbs up.

HASH(0x9e07d1ec) out of 5 stars Good Quality Feb. 5 2011

Other reviews indicated this was a good product, so I decided to give it a shot. It only took a few minutes to figure out how to use the carrier, and I am very impressed with the quality of materials and construction. It seems very durable and tough. Wrapping my skis and poles together is actually fairly easy when laid on the floor, but seems almost impossible to tackle in the upright position. If you wish to carry poles & skis together, plan on laying the Bowtie down on the snow (or ski lodge patio), and putting it on that way. I did this, and it was really no big deal at all, so I still give this product a full 5-stars. Once the Bowtie has your skis & poles wrapped, carrying your gear around is *MUCH* easier. I was able to easily carry my own skis & poles, as well as my two young kids' skis as well (three sets of skis). This would have been insanely difficult if my own skis & poles were loose.

HASH(0x9e07d420) out of 5 stars Excellent Carrier Nov. 13 2012

I bought a Bowtie Ski Carrier for each of the four members from my family. At the time you could send an email to the manufacturer and request the colors that you prefer. The bowtie company was very friendly and responsive. I like to wait to write a review until I have extensively used a product. Here are my thoughts. I am extremely happy with this product. We are skiing as a family extensively throughout the Swiss Alps and the sheer size of the terrain we approach entails significant distances carrying skis. We often travel by train carrying our skis and then once a the resort travel by bus within the village and then ultimately to the lift. Then the lifts include Gondolas with 100+ people on each car or a funicular whose approach includes lots of stairs and crowds of people. This carrier is wonderful. It is adjustable in every way with plenty of length in the adjustments to make as big or small as I need. I can carry both skis and a set of poles securely with no looseness at all. There is no awkward feeling that your skis might come apart. Additionally, I strap the skis over my shoulder like a soldier would strap a rifle over his back to march a long distance. This enables me to navigate large crowds within lift lines, crowded buses or gondolas with ease a minimizes the risk that I offend my fellow skiers with a polite slap to the face from my cold skis! Seriously, this carrier helps enable me to be agile and safe in navigating my travels. I have used this for a full season and it is not showing signs of wearing out, so it is durable. Another reviewer commented that the strap slips on the ski up to the bindings and yes, this is exactly how it works. The strap handle is sufficiently wide to allow the load the be spread across your hands (without gloves) to prevent the feeling that it will cut into your hands or shoulder in my case. The key here is adjusting the length of the "handle" strap to allow the skis to be carried over the shoulder. This handle (shoulder) strap is plenty long to allow the strap over your shoulder to go over bulky clothing. When you get to the slope it wraps up to a small package a little thicker than an IPhone to be put in your pocket until needed.

Finally, when I bought these things my teenage son pretty much thinks I am a dork and he was too "cool" for this. Here we are a year later and on the last trip to Zermatt, he lost his carrier on the lift after he had to take his double tip skis apart to fit in the carrier on the Gondola. He was begging me to get him another....... And that reminded me to come back and write this review. If you decide to purchase one of these, I think you will be really happy. The more I have used this, the more I like it.
