My other 2 lasted a bit over a year before they began to get "mushy" and necessitated some repeat pressing to get where I wanted to go. Time to replace!! I initially tried quite a few other stylus brands, but this is by far the best I've found - most responsive, etc. It stays WITH my phone, since I have trimmed and attached industrial strength Velcro to the side of my phone case and wrapped the other part around the stylus, since I already use the headphone jack for my headphone (duh!).
I have ZERO patience with touch technology, so believe me when I say this stylus simply works as designed. It DOES!

I'm an artist and currently am doing all the graphical work on an soon to be released video game, so having the right tools for the job is immensely important to me. I wanted something I could flawlessly and accurately draw with, in conjunction with using Autodesk's Sketchbook Pro, and I had been struggling to get the perfect stylus for this task. I have worked with two other styli before buying a Boxwave, namely the Acase and AYL styli. The Acase actually worked pretty well in the beginning, but after a little use, it would start to break down and the black capacitive material would actually begin to wipe off on to my tablet screen! And seeing as how this isn't a cheap piece of hardware, well I was quite annoyed. So then after reading the good reviews on the AYL brand of stylus, I was excited to give it a go, but I found it to be horribly imprecise, and the screen wouldn't read it, 8 times out of 10.
So in desperation for the right tool, I broke down and bought the Boxwave stylus. And I couldn't be happier! My Galaxy Tab picks up the stylus perfectly, all the time without a single break in accuracy. I thought a stylus with the squishy tip would actually be worse and not receptive to a tablet screen, but it seems in this case I'm gladly wrong. When I draw it keeps up with my fast pace, and I never have to press down hard, when filling in a drawing. Also, for using the Boxwave with my slide keyboard Swype, it is almost perfect! I'm able to type using it, almost as fast as I am when I'm using ShapeWriter on my Droid X.
So I would say if you have a tablet, and are looking for the perfect drawing companion, Boxwave is the way to go. And it is also incredibly versatile, being able to preform pretty much any task, you and your tablet can throw at it.
