The Brady Kids sees the return of members from the original Brady Bunch cast, to voice their iconic roles. When the six Brady kids befriend a magical bird and two panda cubs, their adventures become more amazing than ever! Watch the Brady kids travel to ancient Greece in "It's All Greek to Me," blast off for an out-of-this-world trip in "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the End Zone," and help thwart a bank robbery in "Cindy's Super Friend." This rollicking collection contains all 22 episodes of the classic animated series.

It is classic Filmation, as they take the exact format of the Archie's, and drop in the Bradys.
The best thing about this release is that, amazingly, CBS was able to clear all the songs used in the musical interludes (including the Lobo smash 'Me and You and a Dog Named Boo'). Even mega-hit shows like Happy Days and Laverne & Shirley had some of their music cut on the DVD releases put out by CBS. The only bad thing is the cheesy magic-marker cover-art. Why did they not just use one of the Filmation cels and present the animated kids as we all remember them?
Now being middle-aged, these vintage '70s cartoons have lost some of their appeal for me, but viewing an episode or two here and there makes for mildly amusing nostalgia.
For years I wrote requests to release it in letters and emails to Paramount, even mentioned it in reviews of Brady Bunch sets, and a few months ago started an online petition for the Filmation shows based on live action shows to be released.
All that said, if you're not a fan in any of the above markets, and just looking for a nice charming old cartoon about a bunch of good hearted kids facing adventures and moral learning curves, accompanied by both Filmation's pleasant 1972-1973 library music and a number of the songs that were produced for the kids to sing on albums and in some Brady Bunch episodes .... then you'll really love this program in its own right. I tend to overlook the ridiculous talking magical bird created specifically for this show, and focus on the kids themselves. The animation art is beautiful, and this much-awaited product should please a lot of people all over the world. I live in Australia, but won't be waiting for an Aussie release, nor an American one. Three cheers for Amazon Canada for setting up their pre-order news now. (By now I must be getting repetitious, but basically I love the show and recommend purchasing this to everyone). I hope that the current owners of similar Filmation shows (Hardy Boys, My Favorite Martians Cartoon Show, Will the Real Jerry Lewis Please Stand up, New Adventures of Gilligan, and Tarzan Lord of the Jungle) will take their cues from Brady Kids and follow suit with complete series releases of those shows too. In the mean time, enjoy this one!!!
