Fun read, recommended for someone in love or who may experience love in the future.
In any case, Dr. Amen has taken his great understanding of the brain as connected to people's behaviors and patterns, and applied it to romantic relationships. This book is not a self-help book along the lines of "How to Make Anyone Fall in Love With You," or "Find the Love of Your Live in 30 Days," etc. It is a well researched book with a lot of medical and scientific support, as detailed in the book, that also contains a lot of common sense, plain English explanations of how the science connects to people's behavior in romantic relationships. It is not pointed at people looking to explore a failed relationship, it is equally interesting and applicable to people who have had success in romantic relationships as those who haven't, and everyone in between. Dr. Amen writes in a straight forward, engaging, and friendly manner, like a friend would speak to you.
The book also contains some information that I have seen in some of Dr. Amen's other books concerning how to improve your brain health. Those tips, such as about specific nutritional supplements that may help people with different types of issues, are very helpful.
