Product description
Review
"This book will be especially helpful to leaders who desire a greater alignment to vision and structure and the participation of people."--Ed Stetzer, Outreach Magazine, March/April 2018
"This writing team scores high on practicality while equally creating an inspiring and upbeat presentation that will draw Christ followers in from the get-go. Whether readers attend a small church or a mega-one, they will equally find these helpful patterns for creating a dynamic evangelizing body doable and most importantly, a biblically mandated one."--Michele Howe, Christian Market, December 2016

I was assigned this book for a graduate degree (MDiv). The book was very readable as well motivating ... they lay out their approach to evangelism as a church in a step by step fashion that makes this book an excellent guide book for priests, pastors and lay people to start their own conversion community. This one will definitely stay in my book shelf as I move into ministry.

Great book! Using it with campus fellowships to help them reach out to others and change their "huddled" culture. Found that it really resonated with the student who read it!

This is a great follow up to I Once Was Lost, and a fantastic resource for campus ministries. For those drawn to compelling visions of communal transformation, the beginning sections really cultivate a desire for fruitful ministry and broken huddles. For those who are more drawn to the systems, structures, and nuts & bolts of communal witness, the latter sections are a fantastic resource.
What most excites me about this book is the potential to contextualise its ethos in a variety of different contexts, both on and off campuses!

This book so clearly provides both values and skills for changing the culture of any Christian community into one that sees more people deciding to follow Jesus. Reading this book as a follow up to "I Once Was Lost" helped me to start dreaming about what it could look like to implement these changes in the communities of students that I lead, without failing to mention that following Jesus in this direction will take hard work and dedication to culture change.

This book has been instrumental in shaping the way our campus ministry views our calling on the University campus. Helpful and encouraging diagnosis, accessible measurements and indicators all allow for thorough self-review and application.
Read this and let it turn your "Holy discontent" with the way evangelism is going in your community into action and joyful partnering in God's harvest.

This is a MUST READ for anyone leading a community of Christians. "Breaking the Huddle" helps you think through how to combine discipleship and evangelism into todays post-modern society. "I Once Was Lost" should be read first, because it will provide the foundation to understanding how people come to faith in todays context.

"Breaking the Huddle" is practical, engaging and empowering. After reading this book, I began using the concepts with the students that I work with on campus. Many of them began asking questions of how they could initiate changes to their community that would help them to break out of their huddle and become a community where lots of people meet Jesus for the first time.

What a rich, inspiring, and helpful resource! Our leadership team and I have been reading and discussing it recently, and I'm confident that God will use this book to help us take concrete steps to become the kind of missional community that He wants us to be!
