Result: the most moist and delicious bread I have made yet! (I previously had a Sunbeam basic bread machine).
Only reason why it's a four (4) star: noisy ... very noisy compared to the Sunbeam.
We typically make our bread during the night so that we wake up in the morning with the nice smell of fresh made bread ... well, those days are gone now :-(
Don't get me wrong, it's a great machine, simple to use and love the ingredient dispenser (nuts, olives, etc.) but it's kinda noisy for my taste.
Separate from bread this also makes excellent dough and I am a rock star at home right now because I can make cinnamon buns regularly with little effort on my part.
This machine is far superior to the Cuisinart in my opinion. The texture and quality of the bread is much better. Our 100% whole wheat loaves are light and fluffy and my family has been eating it without complaint. A great way to keep everyone healthy and save money in the long run as it's far cheaper to buy ingredients and bake it ourselves. If you're looking for a new machine this one is solid and shouldn't let you down.
I've tried to make bread with chocolate chips, but even with the dispenser adding them later on in the kneading process, the chocolate completely melts/dissolves and colours the dough a bit darker. I don't really mind that there's no chips to be found because the taste of the bread is really great, it's just not what I expected. I've also made bread with sundried tomatoes, oregan & basilicum: So Yummy!
So far I'm very happy with my breadmaker, it's not hard to clean, doesn't make a lot of noise, Yes it makes the table wobble a bit, but that's normal & the smell when that bread is baking..... I'm getting hungry again :-)
The controls and display are the easiest to see and control than any other maker on the market!! Large display shows everything in a very easy to understand way. Love the window and internal light to see how things are coming along. Worried that one paddle would not be enough to move the dough ball around but it works just fine.
One reviewer complained about the paddle scratching the bottom of the bake pan. He even included a picture of the damage on his review. The idiot had the paddle in upside down and that in itself, caused the damage. The breadmaker itself works perfectly IF YOU FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS, which clearly that reviewer did NOT do.
Best breadmaker on the market as far as I can tell.
The lighted display is a great feature. General operation is quite simple. The font in the recipe book is on the small side and unless I take it to an area with a very bright light, I find I have trouble reading some of the amounts in the recipe even with my reading glasses on. Does it say 1/3 or 2/3?. It would be great if they made the font just a little larger.I don't think it is me as I don't normally have that problem unless I don't have reading glasses on.
It looks nice sitting on the counter. It is a little larger looking than I expected. At first I thought the bread pan looked small in comparison but the 2.5 lb loaf is a good size when it comes out as it rises above the edge of the pan.Read more ›

The only reason I don't give 5 stars is that the teflon pan coating is not strong enough and scratches extremely easily, only by kneading the dough. Read morePublished 1 month ago by Amazon Customer
