It is great! Once you learn how to use the software, it is excellent at optimizing the use of your vinyl by re-arranging patterns to waste as little space as possible. If you can hand-trace your vectors in Illustrator or Photoshop, it will create the cleanest lines. The scanner is great to preview where the vinyl is on the mat, so you can adjust where you're cutting. You can easily duplicate the patterns, scale them to any size, group the vectors so they're easier to position and move as a unit.
Only bad thing is that when you're zoomed into an area for fine-tuning positioning, you can't actually move the pattern, or at least I haven't found a way. You have to zoom back out then move it, then zoom in to see if it is where it should be.
The lines that are cut are very clean and crisp. I use a speed of 1, pressure 1, and depth of 1 for vinyl. If you use a high speed, the corners are not as clean.
Don't listen to the directions that come with vinyl sheets, or the manual. Instead, start with the slowest speed, least pressure, and shallowest depth and do test cuts until you find a suitable setting for the material you're cutting. I used the settings in the manual which also matched the settings that came with the vinyl I bought, and it was way too deep and almost cut through the mat.
