Exactly like my T440s laptop's keyboard... I would give 5 stars, but have to give 4 as you cannot swap the Ctrl and Fn key mapping.

Unfortunately my expectations were too high for this device. I like the idea of having a keyboard with a pointer control on the home row. So many ergonomic keyboards fail in this regard. I tried using this as a workstation keyboard/pointer, which may not be what this was designed for.

What I don't like is:

1) The placement of the Fn key to the left of the Ctrl key and the inability to swap this. I researched the reason for this, and while it may have been sensible for early thinkpad models, it isn't helpful for a usb keyboard.
2) The placement of the home and end keys, as well as pgup and pgdown.
3) The placement of the arrow keys.
4) The compactness of the entire keyboard and how it forces your hands and shoulders into an uncomfortable position.
5) The driver/software didn't seem very helpful. I would have preferred the possibility of remapping keys, and creating new Fn keys arbitrarily (like arrow keys on 'ijkl'.

I had hoped that this device would benefit my work as a programmer by reducing the need to reach for a mouse, but surprisingly I ended up giving myself a functional injury in part due to poor overall ergonomics. I will try this again with a keyboard tray in the future to see how it works without the shoulder tension of reaching forward towards such narrow hand positions -- and maybe with 'vim' instead. It was difficult to discern between the mouse buttons and the space key at times, as well as the arrow keys and their neighbours.

I absolutely loved using the pointer though. I was getting really good with it. And I really liked the choice of using a detachable microusb cord. It was very compact and well designed from a portability point of view.

Exactly the same keyboard as my T450s, so I can skip the mouse and use the trackpoint when my laptop is on its docking station (note to those looking at options b/c of health issues - the trackpoint is preferrable to me than using a mouse, but it does have its own dangers from repetetive stress). It's a great keyboard for typing (crisp and responsive) and has the same keypad dimensions as most full-sized keyboards (i.e. the hands, arms and shoulders are no more cramped than on other keyboards). My only complaint is that it doesn't have any keylights showing, for example, when function lock or mute are on, as on my laptop. There's one for the usb connection, but I miss them on the keyboard.

For many years I used an IBM Thimk Pad and learned to really like the track point style of mouse. However, this device seems to end up causing me to randomly loose text, like in the comment I am typing now. The whole text just disappears. Probably something to do with inadvertently touching the mouse left/right buttons or maybe the scroll button????. BUT I am not really sure exactly why, just know that it happened multiple times and was very frustrating. I seem to recall that the IBM Think Pads had a better device to replace the scroll wheel. Ended up very disappointed with this device not unlike my disappointment in other Lenovo products such as my laptop.

I had the old style, and liked the larger format, but this is still a great keyboard and looks more modern. I like that you don't have to have to fn f6 or whatever it was on the old keyboard to get to text every time you reboot. I use this at work..I was getting claw hand and my wrist was hurting from constantly switching between keyboard and mouse. If you are a fan of Thinkpad keyboards, you will like this. I wish it was a bit less, but hopefully it holds up as long as my last one did. I wore the text of some of the buttons on that one, before it gave up. It even has the drain holes like the notebook, which I thought was cool.

Very handy and compact keyboard to have. The typing experience is close to what I have on my X230. My only issue is that the Ultranav scrolling isn't quite as powerful as on the X230 and for some reason, I can't sideways scroll in Excel which really annoys me. However, if I am looking to use this with non-Ultranav computers it's close enough. I was happy to pay the price for the keyboard.

This is my favorite laptop keyboard ever (I actually prefer it over the old Thinkpad keys style), so I grabbed a USB model so I'll never have to use someone else's crappy laptop keyboard layout. Good construction, lightweight but sturdy, and very thin. I wish there was a trackpad on top of the Trackpoint, but it wouldn't be worth the space.
