Product was packaged great and delivery was fast. I do reccomend it.
We have monitored the replacement umbrella very carefully to avoid any issues with the tilt mechanism (which actually has the potential to be a great feature - you just turn the knob and it tilts, turn it back and it goes up into original position). Still, if you have even the slightest breezes, you will have to close it right away since it really can't deal with any wind or it will keel over (which our replacement did) and the post will bend. The last time we had a wind accident, the lower section of the two-post assembly bent very badly making the top part with the actual umbrella completely useless,
I spent a few frustrating weeks going back and forth with the manufacturer, and eventually got them to send me a new bottom pole (complimentary, which I appreciated) and we also bought a second pole for backup at ten dollars, which was not bad. So, while we have the umbrella back in working order, we have to make sure we close it down immediately if there is a breeze since the design of the top part with the 11 foot umbrella seems to make it a bit top-heavy, I suppose, causing it to tip and them you end up with a bent pole again. We planned ahead with the backup pole since we have little confidence in this umbrella. Otherwise it's nice for covering a large area -- you just have to be really vigilant when the breezes appear and make sure you close it otherwise you're going to see it fall over and bend the pole.
At this price point, we expected a far sturdier umbrella but the fact is that it's really very prone to falling over and bending, not a good feature. And finding replacement parts is a challenge, particularly since the manufacturer really is not set up to work directly with consumers. They did finally rise to the occasion but it took weeks of follow up, during which time we purchased a back up umbrella of just 9 feet at the grocery store for $59 that worked better, although it was not the size we were used to.
To sum it up, we don't recommend this umbrella due to its unpredictability in breezes, and potential to fall over and bend the support pole. Much too expensive to have this sort of problem.
