HASH(0xb6dc3fe4) out of 5 stars a must buy for this camera Sept. 17 2011
By maggotx - Published on Amazon.com

I bought this camera when it first came out. The Canon manual that came with the camera sucks...it only tells you about 10% of what you need to know to operate this camera. I ordered this book before it was published and I was soooooo glad when I got the Field Guide....If you think you can figure out the nuances of this camera by yourself you are nuts. I highly recommend this guide.....If you buy a T3 spend the extra $30.00 and buy this book ...you won't regret it...

Still working my way through the field guide. The guide is an easy read and most importantly easy to understand. Would recommend as an essential guide for the novice.

HASH(0xa46bf4a4) out of 5 stars Meaty but Complex July 27 2013
By traveldiva - Published on Amazon.com

This is a very helpful manual but it is not for the novice! In order to effectively master my newly acquired SLR camera, I find myself having to pause, practice and re-read the manual's contents several times to grasp the concepts because they are framed for a more advanced audience. I know that this will become a reliable reference manual once I have mastered the "Basic" concepts.
