Excellent analysis of climate change, the most important, and most controversial, subject facing the world today. The explanation of the factors behind the headlines concerning the Keystone pipeline is particularly clear and well researched. I would recommend reading this book to anyone who cares about the future of the world.

Jeff Rubin has exposed Stephen Harper's irrational attempt to make
Alberta into a super oil energy province in the face of a very real climate change crisis which bodes ill
for the not-so-distant future.
The drop in the price of oil has brought down Harper's House of Cards along with the Canadian
dollar, the pipelines, big investments in the Tar Sands and other associated issues. Now Harper must
move into dealing with the carbon crisis with the rest of the world
Ruben argues that there could be a better future for Canada when we decide to stop burning carbon.

Rubin clearly paints a picture of our simple, shortsighted approach to running our economy. He explicitly highlights the problem, the issues, the effects of a bitumen led economy and the fallout. The bubble has burst and Harper needs to be stopped, this book inadvertently explains why.
