Product Description

***Can be read as a standalone or as part of the Rock Falls series

Hannah Rhodes has just gotten out of a long term relationship, and she isn't looking for a new man in her life. But after a night out with the girls and one too many tequila shots, her plans to stay man free are blown all to hell. She finds herself in bed with the smoldering stranger from a party six months back and immediately knows she's in trouble, big trouble. And the last thing Hannah needs is more trouble.

Her last relationship took her out like an emotional freight train, and she’s trying to piece back the stability her life once had.

Greyson Holt’s biggest fear in life is to end up like his father, like the man who left him as a child, and broke his mother’s heart. He vowed to never be responsible for that kind of carnage. Men could be cruel and that kind of brutality was in his blood. He never allows himself to get too close to anyone, until he meets Hannah.

Something about her makes him want to try, but a man can’t change overnight.

Will Holt be able to catch Rhodes every time he lets her go? Or will their chase end in heartbreak?

About the Author

This book had me captivated in the sexy plot line for hours! The characters are easily relatable, down to earth and sexy sexy sexy!! I simply can not wait for the next books to come out and can't wait to get lost in them. Chasing Rhodes has the perfect amount of humour, romance and drama. It had me giggling to myself, furious at times and to the point of tears. If you're looking for a steamy romance novel to loose yourself in, you've found it!! Please hurry book 2!

If you like crude sex language and romanticized abuse, then this book is for you. One of the worst stories I've ever read

HASH(0x9c8c95c4) out of 5 stars Not worth your time March 28 2015

This book was really annoying. The 4 and 5 star reviews must not have had read many other books to know what a good book is. Possible spoilers****What I didn't like: the main heroine gives her new guy multiple chances in the relationship and keeps taking him back every time when he displays bad qualities/characteristics that are the exact reasons she left her ex (he gets possessive/jealous of another guy before they are even in a relationship, he doesn't show up to meet the parents the first time, he goes apes*** on her ex because she is talking to him, and says nasty things to her after she tries defending him to his s*** father). That annoyed me to no end-come on grow a flipping backbone! The writer just wrote really bad characters. I had read other not so great review before getting this that mentioned it felt like high-school/college age characters and I would agree. The characters are in their mid-20's but the story is written where they have the maturity of someone much younger. I didn't like the book at all and wouldn't recommend it. Sorry...

DNF at 53%

Okay I have gone back to this three times and I just can't finish it. It is so cheesy and juvenile. This is one of those books that the writing is kind of robotic. The author is not letting me feel or get in the characters heads/hearts.

Ummm.... and an*l with no lube!!! He all of a sudden gets a massive desire to do her a** but doesn't go for the lube just her juices and shoves it in. I can't even......

Yes I review my dnf see below.

HASH(0x9cb90c54) out of 5 stars Not the book for me Feb. 24 2015
By Jen R - Published on
Format: Kindle Edition
Chasing Rhodes is really not the book for me. It is a bunch of heavy drinking and partying and just not my thing. Besides that some of the choices the characters made didn't make sense to me, but oh well. The writing was just not good enough for me to really enjoy this story. Some slight spoilers ahead.

Hannah has just gotten out of her last relationship. Her ex is bio polar and she is just drained from dealing with his ups and downs and finally just called it quits with him. They ended on good terms, but that was hard on her. She pretty immediately starts dating Greyson whom she had seen briefly at a party a little while ago. She doesn't want anyone that will be emotionally draining for her so she is hesitant at first, but she just can't help herself. She wakes up one morning in his bed not remembering anything that happened the nigh prior, but when she tries to just blow it off as a one night stand Greyson won't let her.

Greyson is not really a relationship kind of guy, but something about Hannah draws him to her. Once he sees her he wants to be with her and when he gets the opportunity he takes it. He does have a lot of issues with his dad who left him when he was younger. He saw how much that hurt his mom and he doesn't want to ever do that to anyone. Seems easy enough. Just don't leave right? Well what does he do at the first bump in the road? Leaves. Yep, he is so worried that he will be his dad and do what his dad does so he does what his dad did. Um..that makes no sense. He is so worried he would leave he leaves so that he won't leave? See the problem? Yeah.

Of course he comes back and everything is fine and Hannah is basically living with him and all is wonderful. Well all is wonderful except Hannah who gets irrationally angry all the time. I didn't quite get that. She just gets mad at the littlest things and it is just like what is her deal? Also everything is great until Greyson's past comes calling and he is really upset and says some hurtful things while he is hurting. So then Hannah has to run away all he doesn't love me! When it is just like I am rolling my eyes so hard as obviously he just had some deep issues that you are aware of that he had to face and he is kind of in shock and lashing out. Yeah. So of course it all works out in the end but I didn't really enjoy the story very much.

One great thing about this book though, especially since there is so much drinking involved, is that Hannah and everyone are very against drink driving. One point early on when Hannah was drunk and going home with Greyson she goes on about how she won't get in the car if he has had anything to drink and such. She leaves her car all over when she goes out as she just won't do that. It was nice to see the anti-drunk driving message since it is a big deal and the characters did go out for drinks a lot. It was nice to see them being responsible when a lot of books don't seem to care about that.

HASH(0x9cba809c) out of 5 stars Hannah and Greyson are people you want as your friends Aug. 6 2014

I'm so happy to have read this book. It's made me actually laugh out loud several times, I've been close to shedding a tear and been impatient for the next chapter, the next chapter, the next chapter - always wanting more. In fact, the only problem I had with this book is that I wanted it to continue and continue so I could keep on reading something so well written with characters I felt I knew & connected with.
Hannah is someone I could picture as my friend and would love to spend time with - she's witty, smart, courageous & loveable. Greyson sounds like sex on a stick and I could definitely lust over him, even when he was having his issues.
I thoroughly recommend this book - definitely one click away & start it ASAP!

Chasing Rhodes by Anne Jolin

Anne did an AMAZING job with her debut novel Chasing Rhodes. It has some heartache, HOT HOT HOT steamy scenes and most of all…. a true love story.

The minute Hannah sees Greyson she knows there is just something about him that sets her body off the charts hot. Only problem is she is happy in her relationship with Jackson. Six months later she finally breaks up with Jackson, but not for Greyson. She just realized that they werent in love anymore.

One night out on the town with her girls changes her entire world. Waking up not remembering a damn thing and looking to her side she sees him. Greyson. She panics and takes off hoping to never have to see him again. She’s not the type to do a one night stand.

He doesnt let her get far and he knows she’s worth all the battle that they face. The obstacles they faced together were tough to read. I wanted to just reach through my kindle and strangle Greyson most times. Then I wanted to reach in and hug him when he realized he messed up.

You know I have to mention the scenes… HOLY HELL they were HOT HOT HOT. Greyson and Hannah’s chemistry was off the charts smokin.

I dont want to give to much away but this is a MUST READ ONE CLICK NOVEL.
