HASH(0xa69d1c90) out of 5 stars Review: Chicken Soup for . . . Resolution Jan. 12 2009
By CFB - Published on
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
As a senior I found many of the first-person articles to be helpful and have shared ones on raising children, etc. with our family. The book is applicable to all generations - helping to make you feel pretty normal if your resolutions go unfulfilled year after year and giving ideas for ways to "make them happen." It's a good read!

HASH(0xa8faa6a8) out of 5 stars Another insighful journey in Resolutions Oct. 19 2010
By Cynthia Briggs - Published on
Format: Paperback
Once again the Chicken Soup series serves-up humor and grace with a platter full of food for thought. I have a story in this book (Winning the Battle of the Bulge, pg. 262), which is the fourth time I've been published in a Chicken Soup book...not only are their choice of stories delightful, but the staff at the Chicken Soup offices, distribution, etc. are terrific to work with. They walk the talk and in the world of publishing it's a refreshing experience. This book, like all of them, is story after story of inspiring tales...tales told by real people who are basically passing along the love. It's a great gift for late December when the new year (and resolutions) are coming up (whether resolutions are kept or not) as the book is full of failures and successes. It's a fun and insightful read that's about life's journeys that sometimes make you cry and other times makes you smile.

HASH(0xa69d5fa8) out of 5 stars A Better Me for the New Year? Jan. 1 2009
By Theresa J. Elders - Published on
Format: Paperback
I'm pleased to have one of my past New Year's resolutions published in this book. My story, "Forced to Face the Facts," recounts how, more than two decades ago, I resolved to become a non-smoker. Now it's New Year's Day and for anybody who wants to find a way to enhance this brand new year, this book is chock full of tips on how others tried and succeeded...or tried and just accepted. For me, this year I resolve to keep writing, reading and reviewing. Happy New Year to all the Chicken Soup folks who keep bringing us these inspiring stories.

I bought this book on New Year's Day for my new kindle. I really enjoyed it, I thought it was a great lighthearted read. It wasn't overly sappy and many of the stories were actually quite inspiring. I would definitely recommend this book. I really enjoy the Chicken Soup collection as a whole and this book was another great installment.
