Professeur émérite d’histoire du cinéma de l’université Paris-I-Panthéon-Sorbonne, Jean A. Gili est membre du comité de rédaction de la revue Positif et délégué général du festival « Annecy Cinéma italien » dont il est un des cofondateurs en 1983.
