Series Consultants:
Jennifer Watt has worked as a high school teacher and school board consultant. She is also the co-author of six textbooks used in Civics, History and Social Studies courses across the province. In 2002, Jennifer acted as the Supervisory Officer/Project Leader at the Ministry of Education project
"Sustaining Quality Curriculum in Social Studies, History, and Geography", responsible for writing a technical analysis of suggested changed to the Ontario curriculum based on feedback from interested groups across Ontario. Jennifer is currently the Instructional Leader in the Beginning Teachers
Department for the Toronto District School Board and spends her time visiting classrooms across the board to coach teachers and administrators in all aspects of effective teaching.

Jill Colyer has been a teacher and writer of curriculum materials for over 20 years. As an educator with the Waterloo Region District School Board, she has taught both high school students and in adult education. Jill's work in curriculum development includes the publication of seven secondary
school textbooks, as well as writing courses, teaching guides, and assessment tools. She has also contributed written work to education television programs and new articles. Jill is currently the National Coordinator for The Historical Thinking Project, a pan-Canadian history education reform
initiative that is working toward the incorporation of historical thinking concepts into curricula, classroom resources, and teacher supports.
