What I found disappointing was that there was very little evolution in the converts, from one spiritual viewpoint to the other. Rather, the stories are consistently of people who secretly rejected the teachings that they publicly professed. For example, several of the stories involved individuals who privately rejected the Trinity or the sufficiency of Scripture. Then they found like spirits in Mormonism. Not one of them expressed repentance for deceiving their prior congregations or associates about their secret beliefs. That doesn't seem to qualify for the kind of convert I would expect someone to brag about.
The book is brief, printed in large type. It is not at all theological, so it is an easy and quick read.
