But I bought the book under the impression that it was a grayscale coloring book. Some pictures have a lot, while other pictures really only have some shading.
HOWEVER I really really really like the pictures. They are different then the other books I have colored in which are full of flowers and fairies and stereotypical girl pictures, this book has a nice mix of everything!
I will be buying the second book, based on the pictures not on the greyscale.
I loved the price of this book too. It shipped fast and was well wrapped so none of the pages were bent up. Prefect!
This is one of the pages that I have colored using pencil crayons.
Great, I wouldn't take a chance of them bleeding onto the next fabulous image. Single sided pages, which is the Best! Fantastic price too!
My big problem is the paper. Imagine my surprise when I opened the book and found cheap copy paper. It is noted in the book that Mr Klein has 30 years of illustrating experience. Surely he must know which papers would be best suited in a book like this. Markers would be a disaster, wet media a failure. You are left with using pencil crayons which may or may not be your first choice of medium and with even moderate pressure the paper might tear. At any rate, I can see clearly through the paper to the next picture and that does not impress me.
Mr Klein, you have published enough books to gain a loyal following so how about treating your fans and would be fans to some quality paper that matches your illustrious talent.
Je crois que je vais photocopier mes prochains dessins de ce livre pour avoir une meilleure qualité de papier.
